Tomcatfreak reacted to Zola25 in Trumpeter 1/32 A-6 landing gear.
I built my A-6E gear down and it went together quite well. I found it to be one of the very best Trumpeter kits I have built in fact.
My biggest issue was that the nose, if assembled separately as per instructions, will not fit the fuselage without a bad step. This will result in a lot of sanding and lost detail. I decided to glue each half of the nose to the corresponding fuselage halfs before closing them. This leaves a gap down the middle of the nose which is much easier to deal with.
The large panels shown above are a bit tricky to fit but with a lot of dry fitting and sanding they will go together fine..

I've done the flushing. Weathering is almost complete. There will be gunpowder fouling and a couple of places to accentuate. All the little things are done. Now it's all gonna take off. )))).

Don't care on price, will buy one lol. This and the Su-24 have always been on my wants list. Temp models other stuff appears to be very good as well, their build series of a Su-27 on Youtube is excellent.

Tomcatfreak reacted to Zola25 in 1/32 Su-34 by Temp Models (3D Printed)
Hi
You might know that Russian based company Temp Models are releasing a 3D printed limited run Su-34 in 1/48, but on their latest facebook update, they also teased that it will be made available in 1/32.
The price tag for their 1/48 kit is a whopping $318 so I don´t even dare speculate what a 1/32 kit of this su-27 on steroids would be..
No info on timeline, price or anything really..

A Gripen E would DEFINITELY be a step in the right direction , I'd get a couple.

Tomcatfreak reacted to Maxim61 in Large update set for A-7E/D coming..Reskit
I have it on good authority from ResKit that a new nose and air intake front piece will be available in 1/32 just like their 1/48 set. I really liked Zactomans A-7 set but now that you can't get the vac formed canopy etc to correct the shape there's no other options so I'm really looking forward to the ResKit stuff.

Tomcatfreak reacted to Erwin in Daco Fouga Magister available!
Let me first say that I didn't buy that kit.
It's my opinion, that he shouldn't have sold it without the decals.
This whole situation could have been avoided.
And when(if)the decals do arrive,he will have to send them to all the buyers.
That will be a big job.
With the high postage overseas, even for a letter, also costly.
Many things can go wrong.
If for some reason the decals never arrive.
Will the buyers be able to get a refund ?
Even when they already started the kit ?
I can't see this topic end for a long time with what I read in the replies.

Tomcatfreak got a reaction from Fanes in Daco Fouga Magister available!
Hey guys.
I also have one Magister kit. Please remember Danny is a one man business. The decals will come and I am sure, they will be as good as the kit itself and his other decals.
I just say Jetmads. F-84 paid march 2024, far away to hold the kit in my hands (maybe 2025, who knows?)
You can build one of your other hundred kits in your stash while waiting for the Magister decals :-)
Just my 2 cents, please remain friendly against Danny

Tomcatfreak reacted to Dave Roof in FL35-5025 AH-1W Exhaust Ducts NOW Available!
The first of many sets for the new Trumpeter AH-1W!
Quite literally a drop in fit. Remove from box, lightly sand mating edge, attach to model. Easy Peasy!
And just like all of our other products, the low price point is to help make your modeling experience that much more enjoyable.
Kits are expensive, the accessories for them shouldn't be!

Tomcatfreak reacted to Violator1991 in Red Pills Models F-4B
It is not onto me of course to make recommendations to the manufacturer here, but if I may put my two cents as a consumer I would suggest spreading the tooling cost over a few years instead of trying to make a return of investment with the first shot. Forget about the USAF ones, even the Navy F-4s alone have abundence of variants with zillion of marking options to maintain a product range maybe at least for two decades. This is an injection mould kit, isn't it? There is no way of knowing the tooling material quality and endurance but I'm assuming this is not a short run kit so maybe they reconsider their pricing policy to make everyone happier.

Great way to save shelf space
Reminds me the same thing I did with an old 1/32 Tamiya tomcat

Tomcatfreak got a reaction from John1 in Red Pills Models F-4B
This kit looks very prommissing and it has great surface details.
For me the panellines and rivets look very deep and big. I like the options of flaps and so on.
What I don‘t like is the only cockpit option with 3D Decals. Babibi is not Quinta.
I always wanted tu build many more Phantom. USAF, USN, Israel, Germany, Turkey, Japan, Iran… I think I will stay with Tamiya. Looking forward to the first sprue shots in real life and what people say about the quality.

Tomcatfreak reacted to Violator1991 in 1/32 JetMADS Draken reservations are open
My 1/48 P2V-7 Neptune kits arrived a few weeks ago. Awesome kits!! Lots of parts with ultimate detail and exquisite 3D printing. I emailed and thanked the guys for their fabulous work and making kits no one else does.
One of the few propellers I have always wanted, but hey, it has jet engines too so I'm inclined to call it as a jet
