We are excited to announce two new Bf 109 sheets just in time for the 1/32 Revell G2/G4 kit. We also will have these available in 48th and 72nd scale too!
At the printer now, should be here in several weeks. Over the next few days I'll be putting them on our website for pre-orders. Thank you for your continued support!

Roy Sutherland, the owner of Barracuda Studios posted on his FB page that business conditions are really hurting his company.    Not asking for charity but simply asks that if anyone is interested in making a purchase from Barracuda, they do it sooner rather than later.   Roy's stuff is amazing.   I've used his cockpit placard sets on my F4U, P-51 and Mosquito builds and they are game changers when it comes to having a realistic cockpit.   His resin and decals are first rate and very reasonably priced.

Hey Reuben, I don't think there's a single source for for all WWII a/c,
you'll need to search for a particular subject when you come to it.
    Good luck

Thank you both for your answers.  My love of the Sea Fury is overshadowed by that of the Lancaster, so I’ve decided to sell the Sea Fury…..not exactly sure how yet but at least now I have some idea of a “target” price here in the UK.

And yet GWH have just started producing in 1/32 scale and we have a new company Kotare Models starting this year.  ICM have been producing some really good 1/32 kits as well, YAK 9 to come.  HKM and ZM are still there… Dare I mention Revell, releasing a much needed Hurricane in man-scale.

No it’s a more mixed picture than you suggest. Interest rates are still at historical low levels incidentally and we are coming out of COVID during which there was an upsurge in demand for models generally.   Plenty of new aftermarket being produced as well.

No need for such despondency.  There are also many great subjects left for our scale.

We have had a few mails about MDC are no longer trading.
I can assure you this is far from the truth we are alive and well at Theddlethorpe !!
I admit we had some site and mail problems during an enforced upgrade by our store provider but all is now well and looking to the future.

Hope to have some new items shortley as always no information until we have stock ready ( I could have a rant about lists that are published with no hope in hells chance of attaining ) but that could be for a later post, how about "grumpy old buggers rant" (hope I can say that).

Not yet, my Brother.  There are a couple of builds ahead of this.  Even tho I told myself I wouldn't start something new before I finished the old I'm currently working on finishing the weathering of a 1/25th Jeep, which seems to be taking longer than the build.  Earlier others had asked if there had been any movement on a Bf109K-4 and a Rex build I'd been doing.  The K-4 requires less work to finish so I've taken the Bf109K-4 found in my signature off of the shelf of doom and put that on my build desk to study.  After that, the Rex, then this kit.  It will be awhile before I get back to this.  But I will.  In the meantime, I've got this:

Reuben L. Hernandez reacted to Hartmann52 in Bf-109G-6/AS, 1:32, Hasegawa. JG-1, Walter Oesau
Good day, genosse. Presenting my first completed model in over 8 months: Bf-109G-6 / AS, commander JG-1 of Oberst Walter Oesau, May 1944. Walter Oesau. 300 combat flights , 127 air victories (9 in Spain, 44 on the Eastern Front, 14 over four-engine bombers in the defense of the Reich). On May 11, 1944, about a thousand B-17s attacked German airfields, communications centers and radar stations. The raid was covered by P-38 and P-51. Oesau was in bed that day with a severe flu. Suddenly Goering phoned JG-1 headquarters and asked the duty officer: "Did the commander take off too?" The attendant replied: "No, he has a fever and is in bed." Hearing such an answer, Goering shouted: "Yes, yes! I know that this is only a view! He chickened out !!" and hung up. Oesau, despite the high temperature, flew out after his squadron. In the area of Aachen he entered the battle and was shot down. But even this morning, General-major Adolf Galland, not knowing about the death of Oesau, gave the order to transfer him to his headquarters in Berlin ... (c)
So - plastic Hasegawa Bf-109G-14 / AS corrected to 6 / AS, cabin - resin from Aires (which is not visible when the lantern is closed), spinner, synchronous 131s and air intake of the supercharger - Quickbust. Plus, there is a revit set from HGW. Exhaust pipes - Rexx. Coloring - RLM-76 AK Real Color and a huge plus, which made it possible to somehow diversify the monochromatic color to one old, kind comrade. All the same, I'm not an artist ...

    Hi Tim,

A Zouei P-38 would be great. As someone noted in the GWH P-40 thread, kitting the Allison engine - which looks superb - could give GWH a jump on an early P-38. Tamiya spread their Merlins across three aircraft  (Spitfire, Mustang, Mossie). We’ll see how the P-40 goes together, but the engineering and overall quality appears to be very like ZM.

Personally, I hope the Fw-190 Anton series is successful enough that ZM will eventually tackle the Doras. It’d be great to have a full complement of ZM Focke-Wulfs leading up to the Ta-152.

    Cheers
    Adam

As far as I am concerned the kits need no decals at all.  Save a buck there is no shortage of markings for 109s and 190s.  Also no shortage of research on the colors and markings.  Give me the parts with great instructions in a white box, I will deal with the rest.  I am more interested in the 190, but when they do the G6 I thin I will be there.  I have never done a 1/32 109g and I owe myself one.  Nothing against the 109 just have not got around to doing any of the G kits on the market.

I look foreword to every ZM blog, I just love their stuff but have not bought a kit yet, I did bid on one last night though, just sold to someone else.  Does someone out there want to make me a great deal on a ZM sky raider?  So many models so little time is my problem.  then there is that pending P-40 we all know about and then their are those new F-4s on the way from Spruebrothers.  I am 50 years old and time is short. It just is not all going to happen.
