npb748r
I've been after dragon's 110 (I want an early, non-nightfighter mark) for months now, thought I'd got one from ebay but the parcel went missing. Since then, there's not been one for sale in the UK that I can find. There are currently 3 revell kits on ebay though, I know they are much older but wonder for those of you who have experience of both kits, should I wait for a dragon one to become available or does the revell kit build up ok ? thanks neil
CATCplSlade
I'll sell or trade you a Revell kit. I have 3 Dragons so don't really need it.

RBrown
Have you considered shopping US retailers. ScaleHobbyist lists Dragon's Bf 110 for $90.00 Bf 110. The Revell kit was released in the early 1970s and is not a serious rival to the Dragon example.
LSP_Ron
There is no comparing the two kits. The Revell kit is a few small steps a head of starting with a block of wood. Bill Cross, Gazzas, Rick Griewski and 3 others
npb748r
thanks all, I'll avoid the revell kit and wait. I don't understand why the dragon kits are all out of stock in the UK but hopefully one will come up on the second hand market soon.
Kagemusha
I was looking for an E Trop not too long ago, found one for a relative bargain from Amazon in the States, postage was cheap, and included import costs, try Amazon and ebay Germany, patience pays. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DRAGON-3207-Messerschmidt-Bf110D-1-R1-Dackelbauch-Bausatz-Masstab-1-32-OVP/141990615503?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160727114228%26meid%3Dc5e3d8b4b65f4732b5481df9d1313714%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D141990615503%26itm%3D141990615503&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dragon-Cyber-Hobby-3207-1-32-Messerschmitt-Bf110D-1-R1-Dackelbauch/131214986541?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160727114228%26meid%3Ded79436d333047c5a91ea4e213fe39f0%26pid%3D100290%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D141990615503%26itm%3D131214986541&_trksid=p2060778.c100290.m3507 You can build these as standard D's - the kit comes with the central bomb rack, decals for which by HAD, Eagle Cal, Owl, masks from Montex. Artful69
... thought I'd got one from ebay but the parcel went missing. Since then, there's not been one for sale in the UK that I can find ... As above - The quality of kit has been covered! ... There really is no comparison. Just remember to download the "Instruction sheet errata" from somewhere before you get going with your Dragon kit when you finally get it ... It's the Dragon kits' achilles heel! Most importantly, though ... I hope you got your money back for the missing parcel!! Rog

CATCplSlade
Friends don't let friends buy that god-awful Revell kit. Which is why I'm putting it on ebay. I have no friends there. I bought it when I first started modeling again and before I knew about the Dragon kits. Artful69
... I bought it when I first started modeling again ... ... and before I knew how to research reviews and build threads ... the standard learning curve most of us have experienced with that bitter aftertaste of regret, I think! Big Texan
Oh my goodness!!!! Granted, the Revell kit is no match for the Dragon kit, but it ain't all that bad! A little tender loving care and you can have a nice model. A lot of tender loving care and you can have a contest winner. I've seen contest winners with this kit. So, depends what you're after really. If you're really wanting a contest bird without having to do some scratch building, get the Dragon kit. If you're a modeler wanting to have some fun, with some or a lot of scratch building, get the Revell. The Revell kit is a good way to cut your teeth in detailing, scribing, etc. A nice platform. The Dragon kit is more shake and bake, up to date, modern kit, just needing things like an Eduard set to flesh it out, resin wheels, etc.I have a Revell Me-110C kit that I intend to build. Plan to do some scratch building, scribing panel lines, etc. Have some resin wheels for it. Just look around this site and see what people have done with Revell's Beaufighter, Mosquito, Typhoon, Zero, Wildcat, etc. Revell kits can be fun to build and sharpen your skills!
