F`s are my favs
So here is the WIP, the weathering is ready, and it is finally ready: A ''walkaround'' in in-flight mode, first: Edited January 22 by F`s are my favs Mel, Shoggz, Uilleann and 14 others
F`s are my favs
And some closeups, in-flight again: The RAM boundary ''line'' indentations turned out even better than anticipated... imho. Ah, those knowbs and displays... You can even see the green outline of the F-35 on the center display... I thought it will be impossible to notice through the canopy... On to the rear section. Btw all these pics are with dailyght, but no direct sunlight. You can note how the composite parts (flaperons, ailerons) are differently weathered from the rest of the surfaces... (but they look the same when viewed from a distance). Hope you like it. I plan an outdoor session for the parked mode, with the wheels down, canopy open, etc... SwissFighters
I think this is exemplary - it appeals to me personally as seeking to reproduce something in miniature in every way possible (including painting and weathering) rather than being an artistic interpretation, even though that process certainly also has its merits. I interpret these pictures as looking at a smaller version of the real thing rather than a 'model.' I hope that makes sense! Thanks for sharing. O.W
Incredibly beautiful and inspiring. When I start working on mine, I will certainly use your report as a guide F`s are my favs
Christa
If menacing beauty is a thing, your Nighthawk captures it. Great model. F`s are my favs
F`s are my favs
Thanks y'all! Highly appreciated. Btw I took a video and uploaded it to youtube, only to see that it is reversed... anyway, here is a link to Drive - https://drive.google.com/file/d/142x0VDisU_eRzap6QUcfa83_rgbNqpSB/view?usp=sharing I switched the option to be visible, but (based on previous experience) I'm not sure if it is visible. I plan to take a better video anyway. Uilleann
RichieB
Really great finish/weathering on the Nighthawk. I prefer the more realistic look and you've captured it perfectly! F`s are my favs
chuck540z3
Ditto above. Weathering a black finish is very hard to do effectively and you nailed it! Very nice. Cheers, Chuck F`s are my favs
Greif8
Superb build! You did a great job weathering the black surface which can be tough to bring off well, but you did. Ernest F`s are my favs
