Hi to everyone,

As a matter of fact, I've wanted to build this P-47 years ago, when I first saw this photo. So my decision to start this project today was not difficult.

As you can see in the first picture, this is P-47D5 (42-8487) flown by Cpt Walker M. Mahurin 63rd FS, 56th FG Halesworth in March 1944.

Well, I started with cockpit as usual.

I used Eduard PE cockpit set. Trumpeter s rudder pedal are not suitable for the razorback version. I replaced this part with a Hasegawa part that I did not use in my previous projects

To be continued.....

Nice subject, which I did in 1:48 with the Tamiya kit some while ago. Looking forward to seeing how this goes.

Thanks

Love the lines of the razor P-47, I recently bought the kit but was suckered away by an Italian subject, so will watch with interest..
