Uncarina
Thanks Andy! Good to know smooth sailing is ahead. How was the wing/fuselage access panel fit for your build? Cheers, Tom monthebiff

I'm sure enough you already know the following photos, but having a folder "Hs 129" at hand, I hope to please you by posting them here. in case they bother you, tell me I'll take them off. cheers, paolo That one seriously looks like it was camouflaged with a paint roller! Field expedient, I suppose... scvrobeson, monthebiff and Uncarina

I am a fairly dedicated roadie Jay and enjoy riding quite a bit. The only downside is how much it cuts into modeling Apr-Oct as I try to get in circa 700 kms per month. Ride on man! Uncarina
My thinking is that the Tunisia Hs.129's all had RLM71, 72, and 65 complete with national markings and stencils. At the unit level RLM 79 was then applied over this, and while most of what I've seen appears to have been applied with an airbrush, others were applied with a brush or broom: (From FalkeEins website) Cheers, Tom Edited December 15, 2022 by Uncarina John1, Gazzas, mc65 and 1 other

Uncarina
When looking over schemes I saw this one modeled by @ScaleModelAircraft and immediately loved it: I would love to model this aircraft. Have any of you come across this scheme in your references? Cheers, Tom Greif8, HB252, scvrobeson and 4 others
John1
Great build. Between the quality modeling and the background info on the real thing, I'm loving it. Uncarina

John Stambaugh
That really is a show stopper. Which color came first? It certainly is well done. Great WIP BTW. Uncarina
Uncarina
Thanks John! From the photos I’ve seen, RLM 79 (or a similar sandy color) was painted over the 71/72 base coat. Even the kit’s depicted aircraft perhaps, though this is open to interpretation: Cheers, Tom Gazzas, HB252 and John Stambaugh
LSP_Mike
Nice work. I have one in the stash. Quite a kit. Uncarina
Uncarina
Thank you Mike! I almost sold the kit to thin the stash, much happier I’m building it instead. Cheers, Tom
LSP_Mike
Agree. My son offered it at 100.00 at a show, and the guy balked. It is now safely back in the stash. Uncarina
Uncarina
Just a little update this time. I've assembled the main landing gear, attached the firewall and engines, then attached the nacelles. I had to trim a little off of one bulkhead on one side to get the nacelle halves to close, but otherwise the fit was good once I applied tape to hold the parts in position. The engines slid into position very nicely, but test fitting the cowlings reveals some trouble ahead getting them to fit over the engines. Once I've added them however I can start thinking seriously about paint!
