O.W Posted April 9, 2022 Posted April 9, 2022 Hello all, After following all the great builds here at LSP its time for my own build. I'm a person with few words but more pictures, so please forgive me when you miss teh "how to"explenation. But feal free to ask me any quastions or leave any comments. After watching the film Top Gun I fell in love with the F-14 tomcat, I'm not the first and probably not the last with this issue. It took me several years and attempts with the Revell, Tamiya and Trumpeter kits to be at this point. It's probably 2 years ago when I was surfing at Ebey whan I noticed a Australian living in france selling his Trumpeter 1/32 F-14D with every upgrade out there. From A To Z, Aires cockpit to the Zactoman Intakes. I have to admit that the build thread made by Franchello really motivated me to start this kit, in every step Franchello was my guide. Thanks for sharing and helping me! Enjoy the pics scvrobeson, Greg W, Martinnfb and 6 others 9

O.W Posted April 11, 2022 Author Posted April 11, 2022 The part I enjoy most is the wheatering proces. I always use teh products from AK interactice, the washes and streaking grime. First i apply them really thinned with a small brush, After that I blend them in the model by applying them with my airbrush. geedubelyer, Dany Boy, Youngtiger1 and 10 others 13

James Rademaker Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Beautiful display of your modeling skills, I am soooo jealous! It looks like it belongs on the flight deck ready to launch. Jim O.W and Martinnfb 2
Kenneth Joy Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 The basing is so well done. I love the use of white and browm on top of the black. Looks so nice under the grey. Beautifully done! O.W and Martinnfb 2
O.W Posted April 12, 2022 Author Posted April 12, 2022 Thanks for all the kind words! Martinnfb and F`s are my favs 2
F`s are my favs Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Well, I've seen only a few such gorgeously weathered F-14 models so far... A very GJ! Martinnfb and O.W 2
Starfighter Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Excellent work so far, I love it! One thing you may want to correct are the louvers on top of the fuselage which are the wrong way 'round on your model - on the real a/c, these are air exits while yours would work as intakes. Keep those updates coming! O.W, A-10LOADER, GreyGhost and 1 other 3 1
GreyGhost Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 Really nice paint and weathering ... -Gregg O.W and Martinnfb 2
