oyoy5 262
Lots of models bought a ton of Verlindens molds when they went under. Not sure how good a business decision that was since the resin figures fit I a little tough to be nice.

Newer Kit prices are so high and shipping is ridiculous soon guess something has to give. I can sympathise. I live near to London. In a city of nine million people, we now have one real model-shop (Hannants). There used to be a model-shop on most high-streets.... all now gone, unfortunately. I think the internet and peoples' changing tastes are the main culprit. Chris. LSP_K2
thierry laurent 6,859
A lot of bricks and mortar hobby shops had hard times and disappeared during the nineties whereas the Internet shopping really emerged with the arrival of the new millenium. So, I think the Internet only accelerated an existing phenomenon. LSP_K2
LSP_Mike 5,410
Changing demographics are a factor as well. All adds up to the same conclusion though.

Some of that stuff, ammo crates, fuel cans and whatnot, still make for some nice add-on pieces to a display, so I hope he releases a lot of that stuff. Out2gtcha
BloorwestSiR 11,832
My LHS said last year was one of their best years' ever in business. Lots of folks coming back into the hobby, existing modelers finding more time to build... They were fortunate in that they had started setting up their website right before the province was shut down in March. Out2gtcha and LSP_K2

LSP_Mike 5,410
No need to yell Sean. Not good. I made the big show one time, and had a blast. Too bad it seems to be over, they have been an icon since the mid seventies. ivanmoe and LSP_K2
Dave Williams 3,768
To be fair, I don’t think he’s yelling. I think it was a copy-paste, and that’s simply how the source was formatted. LSP_K2 and MikeC
