Dave Williams Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Based on a recent purchase from Hobbyeasy, EMS or air mail from China to the US is a no-go. It’s either surface mail or expensive courier (DHL, FedEx, etc.) service. The delivery estimates on those Ebay listings are September - November.
LSP_K2 Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 Yea, I'll just wait until they're available here in the States; no rush.
Darren Howie Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 The cheapest option from a reliable source is Luckymodel if your happy with surface shipping. 15% off and combined with $8 for shipping 4 kits meant an average price of $36 each. if you find it that cheap shipped anywhere let me know! LSP_Ray Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 If needed, Aviattic has a nice one: LSP_K2 and Dany Boy 2

DAK66 Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 The Aviattic Cowl is nice. If its needed will it fit? D Bellis 1

As yet, nobody knows Until someone has a Meng kit and am Aviattic cowl on the same bench, there is no information - we're waiting for the Meng kits to ship* Richard *with a lot of anticipation! DAK66 Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 This is a little off Topic for this thread but do you guys think Meng did all the tooling and molding of all the WNW KIts?
Iain Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 No, they didn't Doug. I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread, if not, it has been covered elsewhere... Iain LSP_K2 and DAK66 2

No. Meng does not "do" tooling for anyone. Meng's "parent company" is a large conglomerate that produces a wide variety of products. The "parent company" is involved in making moulds for a lot of companies. That is the "connection". Once the tooling is completed, paid for and shipped it becomes the property of the customer. Previous WNW kits were tooled in China and Korea and they were the property of WNW when they left the tool shop. Radu Gazzas, Bob MDC, DAK66 and 1 other 4
oyoy5 Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 So will they all become property on Meng at some point?
Gazzas Posted July 12, 2020 Posted July 12, 2020 2 hours ago, LSP_K2 said: And Master Spandau MGs. The PE parts that come with the kit are pretty adequate. You just have to roll the jacket yourself. Unfortunately... they all mostly disappear under the upper wing. scvrobeson 1
