monthebiff
I think I now remember why I put this build on the SOD 4 years ago after a fraught few days of trying to move this build on. Although beautiful in detail the Eduard Brassin engine set really is a very difficult set and causes fit issues down the line and I've had to remove the engine several times and then repair any damage as well. Finally today I've had a good clear head and several hours to work through the fit issues and happy and relieved to get the engine and cowls correctly in place Quick test fit to check the prop fitted correctly Upper cowl has taken a fair amount of trimming as well as the cylinder heads of the engine to get a good fit And then another issue I had caused myself resolved with the MG151's now fitted Super happy with this progress and now know I can see the build through to the end with the worst issues over. Some remedial paint work needed around the cowl area but time to move on the landing gear. Regards. Andy D.B. nmayhew
Looks great - and yes I never would have thought that cowling top would fit without some serious surgery. End in sight - will look fantastic when finally done monthebiff

monthebiff
Another step forward with upper owl now in place and MG131's fitted along with the feed chutes. Also have bomb racks and undercarriage fitted ready for wheels to go on Hopefully have the wheels fitted later and then on to final fitting of various open panels. Regards. monthebiff
So final build update on White 48, managed to complete all of the final bits and pieces today and get them fitted without to much trouble which was a nice suprise. Just need to add ab aerial wire and support wires for the upper cowls but calling this one done after six years on and off. RFI pictures to follow very soon. Regards.
