Troy Molitor
This could be a marathon build. Several terrible photos. Likely several newbie mistakes, but I need to post something. I joined over a decade ago and I need to contribute. Troy. jgrease, Wouter, scvrobeson and 5 others
Spaced Marine
I've been wanting to see one of these built for a while now. I'll keep my eye on this one, as I just might have to have one someday.
Troy Molitor
Several lightening holes were drilled out and countersunk from the opposite sides of each bulkheads. The tolerance between resin parts/ components is really tight. A lot of test fitting. A lot of light sanding and test fitting again before each piece was actually glued in place. A great fitting resin kit. I understand a hundred of this aircraft were produced L.E.M. D Bellis
Troy Molitor
. This a/c will be an experiment in multiple paint schemes for a late Luftwaffe 46 bird and a free canvas for experimentation. A fun build so far over s couple weekends. Troy mywifehatesmodels, D Bellis, Zero77 and 4 others

Out2gtcha
Nice! I really like the look of this one! Looking forward to some progress, and really looking forward to some paint.
Troy Molitor
The fit and tolerance between parts is tight and fit well. Both bulkheads required little clean up and I had to find a hook to pull the aft section out of the tail assembly. Good thing I had some lightening holes drilled into the bulkhead! More to follow. Troy Molitor
I should have one more to share before heading to work. Troy Piprm, upor, Out2gtcha and 2 others
Troy Molitor
Thanks for the pilot Kev! I figured this early jet would have been rather thirsty so I had to add a couple fuel tanks under the wings. I'm thinking the JG-26 would be a nice start for this one. AnthonyWan
Is this the kit off ebay? I've been looking at that everytime it comes up. How do you like it?
dutik
You may buy it directly from the homepage. ... Go,go, go!!! Looks promising! Fit, cast, details - really good one! Bella figura, so to say BTW; if you finish this then Out2gtcha might be tempted to finish his Triebfluegel too... D Bellis
Go Troy, go! Looks great so far. Is this the kit off ebay? I've been looking at that everytime it comes up. You may buy it directly from the homepage. At a much better price than their eBay page, too. Troy Molitor
Thanks for the support gents. Greatly appreciated. I'll never as fast as John B, but I'm committed in getting some more color on my Huckenbine before I head over to Asia next week. My plan to do this bird opposite to the norm. The cockpit for example will be one of the last major effort. I plan to close up the canopy and use one of the figures I got along the way trading with you guys in the trader section. Gene and Kevin. Thank you Gent's. The gear legs are rather sturdy but D convinced me to go a different route on the main gear wheels/tires. Hmmmm. Can't find my resin Dora 9 wheels at the moment after moving back to California recently. The nose gear wheel and tire seem an odd size. I'll need to figure something out on this item. Lastly, I rather dislike installing canopys. I've started craving out one out but the demarcation lines are shallow in a few areas. I can't tell where they end so I might go to the second canopy (2 supplied by L.E.M) for a back up before its all over. Thanks L.E.M. My goal is to get the Reichsverteidigung bands for the JG-26 on this weekend. Perhaps a little RLM 82 on the fuselage spine. We shall see! Thanks for stopping in. dutik
To be correckt, it is a "Huckebein", not Huckenbine. "Bein" is the German word for "leg". "(Hans) Huckebein" is a trouble-making raven from a poem written and illustrated by Wilhelm Busch. Wilhelm Busch himself is the fore-father of the comic, so to say. Also often overlooked as a poet due to his "comics", but his vocabulary is second only to Germanys national poet Goethe.
