Squizzy 78
There isn't one photo that looks like a model, everything looks like a part of a real aircraft! Amazing work. airscale
Nillus
Where you going to find a 1/18 scale pilot to fly the thing? Uilleann and airscale
ClumsyDude
It's a good thing any patents on the Spitfire have expired ... you'd be in hot water for intellectual property infringement otherwise! Jim allthumbs and airscale
geedubelyer
It'll be worth a trip to Telford this autumn just to see this. Cracking work Peter. Cheers. airscale

Haggis
Peter, I think it almost goes without saying that this is an astonishing project, mind blowing in fact. Quick question, where do you those little brass nuts and other fixings from? Cheers, Jamie. (BTW, just used a ton of your stuff in my latest build, Wyvern 1:48!). airscale

airscale
evening folks Peter, I think it almost goes without saying that this is an astonishing project, mind blowing in fact.Quick question, where do you those little brass nuts and other fixings from?Cheers,Jamie. (BTW, just used a ton of your stuff in my latest build, Wyvern 1:48!). Hi Jamie - thanks for stopping by - they were from Scale Hardware who have just sold the business to someone else and I can't find the link now... I also get that sort of stuff from the car guys - checkout RB Motion and Hiroboy ..bit more done - the first thing was a coat of interior green after using maskol to cover parts I wanted to keep metal and the control yoke rubber... ..the control column after adding back the piping - the brass isn't strictly correct for the gun button, but I like it.. ..the main framework assembled... ..one of the benefits of using metal for construction is I can just wear the paint away for weathering like here on the pedals.. ..and the whole unit assembled.. ..and here sitting dry fitted in the cockpit pod the open construction is clearly seen.. ..thats it for now TTFNPeter alaninaustria, 109, allthumbs and 11 others

Uilleann
Every time I see another of Peter's posts, my retinas explode in small fireballs. It hurts. Kinda like Wolverine and his magic fingernails. But I'm feeling a little better now. airscale and ClumsyDude
Guest Peterpools
Peter Magnificent. At completion, the Spitfire should be put on display at the museum of your choice, so all can appreciate the incredible workmanship. Keep 'em coming Peter

chuck540z3
Sweet work Peter. Just totally sweet work and a total joy to watch unfold. It will be a very sad day when this "model" is actually finished. Hat is off. Cheers, Chuck airscale
