wunwinglow Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I have a friend, who has just started looking at the Tornado F3 as a project. However, I, I mean he, already has several projects on the go, so I don't want anyone encouraging him in any way, especially not by suggesting which squadron markings or ordnance loadouts I, I mean he, should be considering. So please, could you all just ignore this message. Thank you. From him. Not me. reconspit, Lee White, Vandy 1 VX 4 and 1 other 4
Iain Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I'll tell my friend to park what he's doing Iain
Monty Python Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I don't want to encourage you, sorry I mean him, but one would look really good. On that basis you, sorry him, should build it and put it with yours, sorry his other models whever you, he keeps them. What about the 1990's raspberry ripple
wunwinglow Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Thanks Iain. From him, of course, not me......
wunwinglow Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) Thanks Monty, I'll pass on your lack of encouragement. Edited December 6, 2015 by wunwinglow Monty Python and Lee White 2
Derek B Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 I would advise your friend that your, er, his, collection of essential RAF fighter aircraft would be incomplete without one! Derek
wunwinglow Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) He certainly isn't thinking of anything like this... My friend, that is.... Edited December 6, 2015 by wunwinglow Whitey, MikeC, Kagemusha and 1 other 4
wunwinglow Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Derek, that is what he keeps saying too!! He can be a stubborn cuss sometimes.... Tim Derek B 1
tigger Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Black fin with 5sqn markings. Or Italian tiger!
wunwinglow Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 He says he prefers British, but I won't pass on the suggestions, as I said, I don't want to encourage him!! Tim
Tony T Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 If it goes wrong you, er, he can always do a diorama... Somewhat reminiscent of my ailing Flagons. At least with this one there's a lot of off-the-shelf gear including most of the airframe. Is your friend in the mirror thinking of making a conversion set while the Revell GR.4 remains available? Tony
Lancman Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 You canny beat 43 Sqd I hope the conversion is easier than this one I have 1 GR kit left to chop up Graham Girlscanplay2, reconspit, MikeC and 2 others 5
wunwinglow Posted December 6, 2015 Author Posted December 6, 2015 Nice idea Tony, although that is pretty much what the workbench looks like now!! His, not mine. A-hem. Graham, if you wanted to enlighten me to the issues, I'll make sure he doesn't get to hear them. Hopefully then it will be all too much and I can get back to the Swordfish. Him, his Swordfish. ðŸ˜
otis252 Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 Sure would be nice if we had a good conversion for this or Revell do the GR-1 kit over as one. Chuck
Tony T Posted December 7, 2015 Posted December 7, 2015 There was one put out by somebody who allegedly proved slightly unreliable in delivery. It would be tempting to see a new and available F.3 conversion set, though Revell's now back to issuing the ECR mouldings... http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=10885 ...thankfully in grey rather than black plastic Tony
