Hong Kong Models has announced a new Boston Mk III but it’s in 1:48th scale, it will be at Telford so those lucky enough to be going could enquire if it will be released in 32nd.

On the home straight now. Cheers Graham -
Another query about the markings are the fuselage crosses black and white or just white? From the images above it’s not clear which it would be and there’s no info on the AIMS sheet. Thanks.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, so here we are i'm fairly satisfied with the paint job and decided to use the 75 over the 02 for the overspray on the fuselage as I thought there would be more of that kicking around at this stage in the war. It's a great old kit and I am certainly enjoying this one, I am doing white 10 from the AIMS decal sheet which you can just make out. Graham -

Plodding along and blew the cobwebs off the airbrush, I decided to try the MRP paints and they spray well straight out the bottle. They look a bit on the bright side to me or it could have been the brief glimmer of sunlight here on the east coast of Scotland. I hope it will look better under a flat coat, a few touch ups required then onto the dreaded mottling. Graham -

Bumping along quite nicely, I forgot how good these went together so hopefully some colour on soon. Graham -
Hi all, I bought the Aims 109 G4 decals for my work in progress. My question regards white 10 of 7/JG52 I’ve seen other pics where the area under the number looks like grau 02 and not 75 on the Aims sheet. Also the other pics have the spinner 1/3 white and the rest black, so basically which is correct.

Been a long time since I've posted anything, had a few false starts over the last few years but in reality my heart wasn't in it. A lot has happened in the past few years from a couple of health scares, taking early retirement from my job after 44 years ( not health related ) to our first Granddaughter arriving. So I have decided to try and get back into building again especially with quite a few semi started kits kicking around the house, I thought I need something nice and simple so after raking through the stash I found the venerable Hasegawa 109. Upon opening the box apart from the kit parts there was an MDC cockpit, Quickboost exhausts, Radu's seat belts and wheel well upgrade. Wow I forgot all this was in there plus I reckon it's been at least 15+ years since I last built one so that could be how long the bits have been in the box. I'm going for a German 109 rather than the Italian one on the box, so the markings will be replaced with aftermarket ones. So far I have built the cockpit using the MDC set apart from the main panel, I replaced it with the pre-painted one from Eduard as I couldn't be ersed yet doing it plus it looks a hell of a lot better than I could do. It only needed a bit of trimming to get it to fit, I used material the seat belts and they proved quite a challenge as my eyesight has gone to pot and the hands shake a bit so getting the material through the buckles was infuriating at times plus I've cheated a bit missing threading it through some of the buckles. So far it's been quite enjoyable and a learning process all over again. Graham

Hi folks, anybody use magnets to hang their ordinance off the pylons on their jets. If so what type do you use? cheers Graham

Question, will anyone be brave enough to do a B/C conversion or is it too complicated for the rear fuselage?
-
If it’s a series I’ll wait for the C version
-
Hi Cees, I bought a set for the Trumpy Hurricane and found they are poorly made and soft white metal. So I wouldn't think they would hold your Manchester. Graham

I spotted the huge mistakeit's not a Boston III
-
A Boston III PLEASE, not a G and can we have a B-25 C/D too?
-
Was thinking about what someone said earlier about something to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II, you could do aircraft that took part in a royal fly past. That would cover from the 50s to present day and also it could include any country she had a state visit as I'm sure she would've had a fly past. So that would cover a lot from trainers, helicopters, aircraft and display teams. Graham

What about Navy aircraft from the beginning that's a massive range of aircraft. I do like the Med and Hasegawa ideas also.
-
I thought JX@E had the large fuselage marking while JX@J had the smaller one, also I would have thought it had the anti glare panels above the exhaust? Graham
-
Nice spitty Carl, I'll just get the decal sheet. Graham
-
Thanks for the reply guys, so just the decal sheet and the camera set. I am guessing it will be one of the F24 cameras needed? Graham

Hey folks I bought a Tamiya Spitfire MkXI kit and was wondering if there's a conversion kit so a pink spity could be built. Graham
