Warbird
Hello, First masks appplied over white base. Gunze RLM 04 for roundels and propeller tips. The propeller was sanded a bit to reduce it thickness. Roundel center was sprayed with orange, a specificity of the SAAF Paint was faded using highly diluted white paint. Lifecolor Azur Blue thinned with distilled water, then lightly faded using the same white mix. A thin coat of Future was spray to seal the paint and to give a satin finish. "middle stone" and "dark earth", sprayed freehand. the demarcation is soft but tight. Next steps will be correcting the small irregularities and start the weathering. Warbird
Thanks guys. I took care of the propeller while paint was drying. Yellow tips are RLM04, small circular markings are painted Sky (my interpretation of color pictures), blades in Nato black and spinner is red with 25% red-brown (must be the same brownish red as the roundel red). FYI yellow tips's length is 4 inches which makes 3.175 mm at 1/32. Before weathering: Out2gtcha and Bill Cross
