My vote goes for the F-111, I would prefer an A model myself.

The Canberra and her American cousin the B-57 would be another excellent choice.

i would love most of the modern jets above, especially the F111, but what i miss is the mentioning of one of the most interresting aircraft ever produced (at leat for me): the F-117 stealth fighter. (the revell/italeri one doesnt count)

If I had to narrow it down to one:

1/32 Hawker Tempest V

I know everyone has their favourites but I honestly can't understand how this aircraft continues to be ignored, even in 1/48. A beautiful, powerful and sleek aircraft that contributed significantly at the end of the war...it just looks so right. (It's older sister the Typhoon could use a new tooled injection kit too.)

If we could have three choices I would expand the list to:

PZL P.11c

Saab J.29 Tunnan

Cheers,

Richard

F-111....great choice

F-101 voodoo if the kit is planned proper you should be able to pull multiple version out of a single mold

F-102

F-104 (an all new one) the hasegawa/ revell is not bad but an all new mordern tool starfighter would be slick....HASEGAWA if you are watching this space blow the 1/48 kit to 32nd....No changes!

F-106

Ok, obviously the following would be great in Tamiya Spitfire grade, but I'd take Hasegawa 109 standard...

Spitfire MkI, MkV

Hurricane MkI

Bolton Paul Defiant

Westland Whirlwind

Typhoon

Tempest (WWII version only for me)

Blackburn Skua

Wellington

Mosquito

Halifax

Lancaster

Sunderland

Stirling

Ju87B

Fw189

Fw200

Ju88A-4 family

Ju88 G family

Do335

Do24

Do217 family (both nose types)

He115 (I think - the flying boat thingy)

He177

Val

Kate

Betty

Yaks of assorted WWII vintage

LaGs as above...

P-47 Razorback

P-47 D - N

PBY Catalina

Obviously I am dreaming where the larger aircraft are concerned, but there are a surprising number of mainstream aircraft where a significant gap in the market exists.

Now back to reality!

Sorry Steve - posting in a rush and all that!

I should be ashamed as one of the first things I learnt was the difference between a seaplane and a flying boat...

Must be getting senile!

I still want a accurate 1/32 P-51B/C. Hopefully there will be one released by Tamiya in the same vein as the Spitfire IX/VIII/XVI series.

Did you guys with 1919 ~ 1940 wants send them to Silver Wings in answer to their poll request? Great opportunity to actually get to see some of your favorites in model kit form someday!
