I have some of the original Reheat decals and PE bezels.  They are wonderful.  Their only drawback was that the decals were printed on clear film, so unless your IP was painted white, you discovered a sudden problem.

Hi guys,

First of all: big SIGH here when reading some posts...

Okay (taking a deep breath), the decals: THEY STILL HAVE TO BE DESIGNED and - as I want everything to be as 100% perfect as possible - this is not an easy 5 minutes-job (the research process takes most of the time). I also have other projects going on, for example 2 jobs for Revell, so I can not work all time on the Fouga decals even if you find you're entitled to them...

I've decided to use these decals also for the next main batch, so they will be printed by Cartograf and not by a smaller company. And knowing that Cartograf has a waiting-queue of several months, don't expect them in your mailbox in the next few months...

Now some good news:

These last two weeks I've been drawing instruments (what a boring job) and I still have to do the research for the non-Belgian-Fouga instruments, so I hope you will enjoy them when you see them on the decal sheet, even if they are all as individual decals. Also, I 'm working on getting a set of 3D-decal-printed straps, but I've no idea if it will work.

Thanks for the update Danny,

know that all your work is appreciated - and as far as myself is concerned, always happy to wait for quality as the end-relust will always beat a rush-job in every aspect

Thank you for the update, Danny. It's a gorgeous kit, as I'm sure your decals will be. I'm an extremely satisfied customer.

Seven months ago,  DC was still working on the ‘boring job’ (sic). He should know this before putting his ware for sale

My Fouga kit still lays unopened in its plain cardboard box. The mere sight of ot makes me sick.

One day I’ll overcome my procrastinating, put the damn thing on sale on the innerweb and be done.

Does anybody have an update on this?  I ordered the Fouga and indicated I was happy to wait for shipping until the decals were available, but so far all I got was silence...

I'm in the same boat, deeply unimpressed at this stage, both with the non-appearance of the decals/my kit but mostly with the complete lack of any updates from Daco. I expected much better, I'm sure Danny is busy, but surely an occasional e-mail couldn't be that hard to do (or even just one e-mail in six months)?

At this rate the postman may have to find a way of delivering my kit to me in the graveyard.....

Count me in among the disaffected.  I guess Coremans doesn't realize how this hurts his business.

I agree with the comments.

I recently sent Dani an email asking for an update about the decals delivery: got no reply (yet).

Ours is a small community and this does not help for reputation.

I really hope we’ll soon get what we paid for.

Finger crossed.

Perhaps it would be a good idea to post a simple question, like "Danny Coremans/DACO, where are the decals we paid for?" to all the various forums, such as hyperscale, britmodeller, largescalemodeller, etc?

We could simply and politely restate our position, which is:

1.  The kit was sold on the premise that decals would be provided.

2.  In September 2024 kits went on sale, and despite various requests for more information as to when the decals would be available, DACO has not replied, except in an impatient and condescending manner, and not since November 2024, which is 7 months.

3.  We paid in good faith for these kits, and we have a right to know whether the decals will be provided and when.

Thoughts?

I didn't order the Magister, but I did order stuff for the Belgian F-104G im am currently working on. I chose the most expensive shipping by Belgian Post (with tracking, costing € 7,50 extra) because on his website he states that's the fastest way to get stuff as it's mailed out weekly. He also states that he hords Dutch orders and takes them across the border in bulk once in a while because Dutch post is much cheaper (and the Dutch are generally cheap bastards). That is why I did not choose that, it would take longer.

My package arrived safe an sound about two weeks later, and had been processed via by Dutch post instead of Belgian. I had paid a lot more than the €6,50 on the package slip so I mailed him to ask for the difference to be re-imbursed to me. No response. Another mail. No response. Then weeks later suddenly I received the amount in my bank account. He never replied or commented on it. N n=1. But for me, never again.

Fellas, can we please keep the replies civil, I'm sure Danny will come through with the decals - I bought a couple of Magisters, so I do have skin in the game.

Agree 100%! Perhaps there is another explanation, that he isn't able to respond. I don't know how old Danny is and it doesn't really matter  maybe he's experiencing a cognitive decline of some sort . It happens and a lot of the time the person isn't aware or able to control things. I not saying that's what is going on but it is a possibility .Something to think about.
