Brad-M
Has anyone heard on when their Camel is coming out to play? TIA Brad
seiran01
No updates- last news was early-mid 2016 release. We likely won't know more until the website is updated at this point considering how infrequently Wingnut does an email newsletter
vince14
Knowing how WNW operates, all we can say with certainty is that it'll come out when they're ready to release it... MikeC and Zero77
ericg
I am tipping that it will be in April when the NZ nationals are on in Wellington. Seems a perfect time if you ask me.
DeanKB
You've gotta love WNW. Most other companies would have issued press releases like crazy for an iconic 1/32 kit like the Camel. Goes like this (I have simplified it & missed out many, many steps) 1-We are thinking about the Camel; 2-Still thinking; 3 -We might kit it; 4 -We are researching it; 5 -We've visited a real aircraft; 6 -Here are some photo's; 7 -We are working on it; 8 -Still working; 9 -Call for references; 10 -Test build; 11- Box art; 12- Release Schedule; 13-3D animation released; 14-Unveil at model show; 15-Postpone sale; 16-Re-tool for minor errors; 17-Photo's of test shots; 18-PR blitz begins; 19-Leaks to industry mags; 20-Leaks to forums; 21-Test shots sent to reviewers; 22-Test build unveiled; 23-Pre-orders begin; 24-AM muttering start; 25-Rivet counters go nuts; 26-Entire model criticised from drawings of test shots; 27-Kit goes on sale; 28-Rivet counters go into full "un-buildable" mode; 29-Choice of colours criticised; 30-AM decals launched; 31-AM resin & PE launched; 32-Kit hits the stash & forgotten about; 33-Focus turns to next super kit; 34-Will Trumpeter ever kit the long planned & even longer heralded bloody Devastator?! By Comparison, here is WNW process. They have 2 separate processes: First, the long-winded, PR heavy approach; 1. We are going to kit a Camel; 2. Here are some 3D graphics; 3. We are working on it; 3. oh, here is the kit. Or the normal WNW approach; 1. Here is a 1/32 Felixstowe. 2.The end. (For Felixstowe, replace with pretty much any of their kits)

is it windy yet?
Let's hope it comes soon. I've pretty much bought all the kits I really want from WNW, and I've been waiting for some other single seaters to come my way. Well that and some decals for captain brown. DeanKB
I'm not bothered by this one. I've got enough PC10 kits. Or is it PC12? Such choice.

Tnarg
There are more than enough fun alternatives besides the single color machines, assuming you go for the training squadrons. You could also look at Estonian, Georgian, Polish and Latvian Camels should you want something "completely different". There is almost no end to the fun alternatives. One plane was named Sylvestre, with Cleopatra and a snake around the fuselage for some "nose art" options, or a red, white and blue patchwork covering, should you like them bright... or you can put a set of cards or maple leaves on the Camel if you are feeling so inclined. Way too many alternatives, but I certainly would not complain if they decided to do an Austro Hungarian machine or a Breguet XIV as a surprise before the Camel. It just doesn't matter what they release, it always seems to be of the highest quality. Tnarg David66
MikeC
A Wingnut Wings Kit is never early. Neither is it late. It is released precisely when intended. ziggyfoos
Do you work at WnW? That's pretty intimate knowledge of how their projects run! Have you ever worked on *any* project that ran precisely as intended? Ever? You may be reading more into that I think that was intended. I can't imagine Mike's statement was made to imply anything and was only being a play on the exact lines that Gandalf said in the first Lord of the Rings movie about his arrival time - which Gandalf himself said jokingly. I was surprised another boxing of the Alb B wasn't released around Christmas, figured for sure since they covered early version they'd shortly follow up with the "mid" and/or "late". Zero77
Give me lozenge, crazy artwork, crosses, and single ROUND rigging wires any day. The Brit stuff is cool. Once. You can make dozens of PC10 variants.... from green to chocolate brown, to olive drab.... Single color schemes are not boring, they are the perfect support for weathering fun ! And you have the late/post war tropical brown, and post war silver. David66

LSP_Mike
Let's keep the snotty tone out of this gents. The Camel will be here when deemed ready, as was the DVII. I'm personally in for a 2F1 Naval Camel. williamj
