  1. I hope that's what they give us in their model.
  2. Has Kotare laid out what they consider to be the "early" differences between a Mk Vb "early" and a Mid/Late?
  3. I am in the process of building mine, and have just completed the painting stage. The only things I added were HGW seat harness, Barracuda's control column and I am using Fundekals for the markings. My kit came with the extra exhaust parts, so I consider them part of the in the box parts. That's it. It's a beautiful kit, and I am patiently waiting for a Mk Vb Mid/Late kit.
  4. I hope I am wrong, but would RCAF 442 Sq Mustangs have the US Army cushion on the seat?
  5. I don't understand why Revell isn't releasing a Mk I Hurricane....
  6. A Mk Vb mid-late will do me for good in 1/32...until the next one comes along 🤣 Cheers
  7. The 109K-4 is not a 109 that I dream about building, but I understand why Kotare produced it, since Hasegawa's version seemed to have shape issues with their kit along the spine aft of the cockpit, to the vertical stab. I really hope they would consider doing a WWII Typhoon, which is really needed IMHO and then maybe a Sea Fury after that. Cheers Brad
  8. I sure am enjoying this build thread. Fantastic work. So is this a PH attack plane, or afterwards? Also, I'd sure like to know what references some of those guys used regarding painting the upper surfaces of the Kates green camo on the carriers. Cheers and thanks for sharing Brad
  9. Really enjoying this build David. Thanks for sharing your Tamiya paint mixes, it really helps those who use Tamiya paints, which includes me. BTW, Is the Kitty Hawk still in Bremerton? If so so, say hi to the old girl. I sailed on her during RIMPAC exercises in 2008. Cheers, Brad
  10. Holy Cow, I can't believe that I missed this one. Outstanding finish and photography! Looks like the real airplane. Job well done. Cheers, Brad
  11. If he is building the restored warbird, it shouldn't matter if the warbird's serial is accurate or not. He is trying to replicate the aircraft pictured in the photo, and not what Grey was flying the day he died.
  12. The 1st file shows a single psp plate, the 2nd file shows 6 plates joined together. Cheers Brad
  13. I have no idea what it's worth to me. How much would it cost to produce one to acceptable measurements for a P-51D Mustang? Brad
  14. Hey guys, Are there any pre-made, just add some paint and weathering bases out there of the PSP Marsden for our models? TIA Brad
  15. The Spitfire variant that I want most is a highly detailed and accurate Kotare Spitfire Mk Vb. I built Tamiya's uber kits already, but I passed on the HB Mk Vb. I retired at 55, but was in the RCN for 35 years, so I had to retire Funny though how busy I still am, but I look forward to Monday's now instead of dreading them Happy Holidays Everyone! Brad
  16. Man, 23 pages of nothin...indeed :/
  17. Links to the model are broken for me...were they removed? Would love to see it. Brad
  18. That's a beauty. Very nice NMF! That must be a big model. Congrats!
  19. Beautiful work. That NMF is just grand, and painting the markings just adds to it like a cherry on top. Well done!
  20. I'd love to see Tamiya do a 1/32 Spitfire Mk IX....
  21. Late to this party, but your cockpit and exterior detail is breath taking...thanks for sharing your build
