DugyB
Still patiently waiting for my Quinta Studio set to show up, so thought I’d do a bit research on aero charts. These will look the part on the Navigation table. Edited April 15, 2023 by DugyB denders, MikeMaben, LSP_Kevin and 3 others
DugyB
Cleaning up parts, as in scrapping off detail in anticipation of the Quinta Studio sets arrival. Am actually thinking about opening up a can of worms and scratch a new panel. Almost seems criminal to destroy such a good part. DugyB
This showed up today, let the festivities resume… …..l does anyone know if the seatbelts can be shaped/folded into a realistic position? Stokey Pete
I’d say no to the posing of the belts. There’s a little flex in Quinta products which help them conform to shallow curves. But, they’re quite brittle if bent/twisted. I’d maybe look at alternatives if you want that authentic, natural look to them.

I concur. perhaps DHW belts would be better for that purpoise porpoise purple pose kinda thing Edited April 20, 2023 by Landrotten Highlander

DugyB
Progressing slowly, but I recon a Rita Hayworth would look ok at the Radio Ops table… BradG, LSP_Kevin, themongoose and 1 other

DugyB
Test fitting a couple assemblies, it’s a tight fit. More detail painting, weathering up for tomorrow. Anyone know the original seat colour? Am leaning towards a near black, black green for all three seats. I’ll be able to use the 3D seatbelts as they are extremely flexible. DugyB
Here’s a couple more pics, still moving forward…slow and steady wins the race More weathering completed, have loosely put together a couple of the sub assemblies, fit is pretty tight. Amazing enough I still have a lot of small parts to install, paint and weather and this is just in the rear section. Haven’t even started the bomb aimers compartment.
