Hi again, back to show a couple of images of the work...update?

added gear door covers with a bit of gizmology imagineering...so of course I put the first one on backwards;

the cutout at the rear of the door should be adjacent to the nacelle

dirt and muck added

That's it for tonight and the gear doors are on (the backwards one removed and re-installed correctly)

Thanks for looking

Thanks mates!!

Decals on and adding antenna to the model. I've copied most of these from mainstream kits, just traced the shapes onto .010" and .020" sheet cut out glued on and painted black (reminds me of a song...)

Starting to look the business now

I'll admit a few of the decals are spurious or unrealistic but I don't have a lot of clear images of the subject (now that it's a specific subject)

Thanks for looking

Thanks for sticking with me on what was for me an epic journey. As of today I'm sticking a fork in the CP-140 and calling it finished. Well, as finished as I can make it.

I'm certain a better modeller could do better with it, I had fun and learned some new things to be certain.

 So without more babble, here's some pictures of the finished Aurora;

Special thanks to those who "liked"

Grateful appreciation to those offering help and advice

Off to rip the top off a mainstream injected kit now.

Congrats, Chris! I think it's a fantastic build, and I'm fairly certain I couldn't have accomplished it. It looks every a bit a top-shelf injection-moulded kit.

Kev

Thanks for the encouragement and kind words, you're a true gentleman.

Seriously gorgeous work. I followed from the beginning with great interest. I live a stones throw from CFB Greenwood, so I get to see them flying all the time. Amazing work with a truly difficult model. Cheers!
