Pete Fleischmann Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Hi Ali, I’m wondering if you would consider mastering a new canopy and observer bubble for the Revell Beaufighter? The Model Monkey cockpit and interior parts have breathed new life into this kit, and clear parts would be a welcome compliment to those parts. A new canopy with the later (and more common) Mk VI type framing with a separate top hatch…and a new, correctly sized observer blister would be well received I imagine. cheers Pete Rockie Yarwood, IainM, firefly7 and 9 others 12
Tony T Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I'd get a set, and can dip into my own copy to provide parts for the masters. It would be even better if the observer's bubble incorporated part of the upper fuselage, as it did on the real thing (emergency egress), so could provide the fuselage halves at the same time if Alistair needs these parts. Tony yes! Totally agree Tony- anyone else interested? Perhaps we can sway Ali to take a closer look! Pete IainM and BiggTim 2
petrov27 Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I would be in for a couple sets of Beau canopies IainM, Pete Fleischmann and BiggTim 2 1
firefly7 Posted October 23, 2022 Posted October 23, 2022 I would be very interested. Pete Fleischmann 1
Ali62 Posted November 1, 2022 Posted November 1, 2022 I have replied to Pete off the forum, but just for the rest of you, I will try and look into this Beaufighter soon, no time scale known at present as I have so many unfinished sets I need to complete, but I think it is a good prospect, so will try to do as soon as I can. Pete Fleischmann Posted November 2, 2022 Author Posted November 2, 2022 Yay! Thanks Ali- I know that when one is as talented as you are, your skills are in high demand- I do think it’s an excellent idea, and I’ll be your first customer whenever you are ready- best Pete
Out2gtcha Posted November 2, 2022 Posted November 2, 2022 Indeed! Id be in. The OOB canopy and observers bubble in most kits are craptacular. My canopy is Ok, but the Observers bubble is a bit thick and distorted. kalashnikov-47 and Pete Fleischmann 2

Tony C Posted November 29, 2022 Posted November 29, 2022 Just to register my interest, I’d also take at least one set! Pete Fleischmann 1
Pete Fleischmann Posted December 4, 2022 Author Posted December 4, 2022 Hi Ali- saw your comments about the Revell F-15 canopy. If your ROI is 20 sales to justify production, we are basically there with the just the folks expressing interest in the Beau in this thread! I do realize there is a little more work involved in creating a new canopy and observer blister for the Beau vs. just re-casting the F-15 parts. best Pete Derek B 1

As mentioned in a few other threads the last few months have been tough for me in many ways, and sometimes you think a new product will be quick and easy, then it turns out to be the complete opposite. So at this stage I will say there is a good chance for some new clear parts for the Beaufighter but I m not putting a time on it, far to many other things to get to market, sorry but hopefully you understand. cheers Ali ajw1977, firefly7, kalashnikov-47 and 3 others 4 2
