kkarlsen
First tests with foil... I did some initial testing with chrome paint, but decided to go for the aluminum foil. It's a lot of work, but I think it's going to pay off in the end. The shininess isn't too much, it has scratches and ripples, the rivets are barely visible as on the original aircraft. Overall the Foil adds to the 'illusion' of the aluminum surfaces. There will be some imperfections, but overall I'm satisfied with the result. kkarlsen
Update on the 'foiling' The majority of the foil is mounted. Still some ways to make the details of the surfaces look right. It's almost 'therapeutic' and it's my first 'foiled' model and it won't be the last... geedubelyer
That's looking super Kent. Are you using self adhesive aluminium like used by the building trade or is this more like domestic/kitchen foil glued to the surface? Cheers kkarlsen

Find a expert and I’d be all in for a class of instruction. I find it more then a bit intimidating to even contemplate trying it. Maybe sometime soon.. kkarlsen
