Hi Antonio.

to prevent white from showing on the edges below the blue I usually mask the outline of the mask 0.5mm or so on.

Your work is still impeccable, the masks give the model a finish that the decals, even if perfect, fail to give

thanks for the tip, helpful indeed! cheers

That really looks fantastic!  What colors did you use in the marbling and weathering of this?  Did you base the XF-62 with something or do any sandwich shading?

thanks mate, I used Gunze H-304 over the tamiya base, I have applied some ink filter to make the OD more brownish, next is to paint full invasion stripes and cover them with RAF Dark green  but also still kinda translucent  and evident what's underneath :)

thanks for watching , cheers

Hi Antonio I don't know if it is a desired effect but it seems to me that the central area of the wings on the right and left are greener than the external areas that have a decidedly brown dominant.
Maybe it's a photo effect but it looks like this on my monitor.

Yes,  that was on intentionally, there was a lot of repaint done in those Razorbacks, here it is a real example from a P51B ammo wing panel, you can see the OD(brownish shade)  the invasion stripes (black and white) and the top layer of RAF Dark Green paint, so that's what is my aim ;) cheers

Can you explain this?  I am getting ready to do my first mask markings.

Thanks
