The problem is that you guys who have been modelling for 40+ years have had your fill of the "staples". But I've only been building since 2015 after a 30+ year hiatus. I can't even find a previously owned 1/32 FW190 in Australia. But I can order an old tool kit from the US that will cost me double what the seller wants. Then there is the exchange rate. Just sayin...
spreckair
I too am in the "rather see something new" crowd, like a Mitsubishi G3M or G4M.

Gazzas
My eyes, my eyes!! Though I'm not attracted to any of them... didn't the Skua and Fulmar win fame in the FAA? And the Defiant somehow gets a lot of love... The Wellesley looks like the took a Swordfish and got rid of the upper wing and called it "good". 1 minute ago, EvilCarrot said: Hey, I'd be up for these! Bring on the ugly LSP's! The Fairy Firefly was neither useless or ugly... the Bolon Paul Defiant, also not ugly and effective as a nightfighter, so again not useless.... mozart, PhilB and R Palimaka
PhilB
Dean, I think maybe you could be ok going down the "ugly" route as that's a matter of opinion. But "useless" ?? Some of your examples are inter war year aircraft that at the time of introduction were state of the art. Of course come WW2 they were found to be useless as they were obsolete. As far as the Gannet is concerned, (I'm not a fan of it personally) I'll agree pretty ugly but it was function before form. Any aircraft that can fulfill the anti-ship/submarine role and also AEW and ECM from the early 50's until the Nimrod arrived can't be that bad. Must have been good as the Aussies and the German Navy bought it too. Anyway back to the B17 and watching pigs fly past the window................ AlexM
I guess the majority of modellers, who crossed the inhibition level to buy a 1/32 B-17 (size- and pricewise ) already got the HKM model (at least I did ), so no, please not "another" B-17. But I would very welcome other WW2 subjects from WNW that haven't been done yet. I would really like a 1/32 Battle, Fulmar or Defiant, though those seem rather unlikely from WNW. ninjrk
Frankly I'd be thrilled if they simply did a 1/48 version of their Lancaster. AlanG
