Just a hunch but they might want something with a post war theme which these 2 aircraft fall into. The Vimy flew from Europe to Australia in 1919. If they ever did a post-war kit I wouldn't mind seeing a Curtiss NC-4. I was always impressed by the size of that thing when I would stand under the wings while visiting the museum at Pensacola NAS. LSP_K2
In an odd way, I'm relieved, as this aircraft is most certainly one that I'm not interested in at all, so they just saved me some serious cash. thierry laurent, Bill_S, Out2gtcha and 2 others

Ditto. I'm really impressed with the fact that they're making one (and they're continuing with big and random WW1 surprises), but this one is much too massive and relatively boring aircraft to me that I'll most likely will pass this one. To repeat as said before, the lack of French aircraft is a bummer to me, I was hoping for a French biggie (or smallie...) LSP_K2
Pup7309
Makes sense now I see it with the Lancaster. Wiki mentions the O/400s transported officials to Versailles Peace Treaty so that could be a tie in to post 11/11 KiwiZac

Although I'd want to build it as the replica when she flew the route in 1994. I don't know if it helps we Vimy fans' chances but Sir Peter Jackson does own at least one large model of the type (although I can't find my photo to prove it). As always, I like to rationalise my wishlist with what Sir Peter owns in 1:1. So with that in mind I'd be happy if it was any of these: CC7F683C-CE59-4718-9354-5A0F9D2C2023_zps2jtrdam3 by Zac Yates, on Flickr 3C60085A-0A4E-421D-BB2E-E2744D8994C1_zpsgsfegupu by Zac Yates, on Flickr 40C03A2E-6985-464B-BCA5-59A90F3EBE2C_zpswwm2yyal by Zac Yates, on Flickr 1EF08D2A-82A2-4713-ADF5-79AD4367CED0_zpsqy6qgy1y by Zac Yates, on Flickr 6A916861-29EC-40F4-BB44-A1CF5FD0AA96_zpsef1ohgbu by Zac Yates, on Flickr And given it's been a while since we've seen floats or a hull, this would be very welcome: 14AC31E0-A17F-4495-AF48-F288C179B4FE_zps8gyh2hue by Zac Yates, on Flickr Nice selections - hopefully coming in the future..I’d really like to see some Adriatic flying boats MikeC

This is an interesting release, but this aircraft is an aesthetic eyesore and it's freaking huge. I'd rather take a stab at the Lancaster if we're going "stupid big" in the land of WNW. On a bright note: that Felixstowe I lust after is shrinking with every new WNW release! Seems much more realistic a display candidate now! True! This one’s wingspan will be about 100cm - 5cm more than the Felixstowe! They must be reaching the limits of what’s possible? The biggest they could do would be a German ‘Giant’ bomber spanning about 135 cm once built.
riffer
I can't complain about the choice - I remember in the 60's everyone had the Airfix 1/72. That being said, if I have to do a non-fighter I will go for something like an A-6, A-20 or B-25 first. I believe that kit may have the largest wingspan of any injection molded plastic kit.

Gazzas
Well... I'm glad some people got the kit they wanted. No boo-hoos here.... I've got like three years of stash to play with. I've got A Roden Dr.I with AM and no great drive to paint it red. Hopefully I'll have less stash when WnW announces their next release.
