elmarriachi
Hello, finally the Albatros D.II from German pilot Boelcke is finished. The kit in scale 1/32 is from Encore Models, based on the older Roden kit. Encore Models added a complete new engine made of Resin full of wonderful details, two frets of photo etched parts and some white metal parts. I have added some turnbuckles from Gaspatch Models, some EZ-Line for the rigging and gun barrels from master Models. I hope that you like it! Cheers Micha Big Texan, 109, Zero77 and 12 others

Zero77
Very nice model Micha ! I love that early three tone camo on the wings. Do you think the resin engine in the Encore kit is the one from True Detail? (as they are all owned by Squadron). I bought a Roden D.I, it's a very nice kit but the valve rockers are very simplified from the box. Edited August 9, 2016 by Zero77
LSP_Ray
That is sweet, Micha! Those Roden kits are not that bad. If it wasn't for WNW, they would be the models of choice for WWI. LSP_K2

elmarriachi
Thanks a lot. To be honest - I do not know the engine of True Detail .... but if it is both owned by Squadron - I think the chances are not bad that it is like that The Roden kit is "ok", but the fitting is not comparable with Wingnut... and the details as well .... but with the etched stuff it is ok Cheers Michael
