BloorwestSiR
Looks great Anthony. I always liked the Scooter. I'm just catching up on your build. Nice to see a different version from the usual USN or Argentinian ones Carl Edited June 6, 2016 by BloorwestSiR Anthony in NZ
Anthony in NZ
Thanks Carl, much appreciated mate! Yes I like the Kiwi Scooters too. Eric's Aussie 'G' inspired me to crack on again with this. I have made progress albeit slow.... I finished the adapter rail for the LAU and primed with Mr Surfacer. Once dry I will check for any scratches and buff out etc and look for anything I missed. Mount getting some additions... Left side Undersides And you can kind of get the idea of what the 2 will look like together...excuse my Mr Surfacer covered hands Quite happy with how they have come out. Now onto the inboard pylon Thanks for looking is as always Cheers Anthony Edited June 6, 2016 by Anthony in NZ Starfighter, Kagemusha, Greg W and 3 others

Anthony in NZ
Thanks Kev, I just wish I could build something straight out of the box and not phaff about making and upgrading bits.....maybe even finish something one day?? hamfists nz
Anthony in NZ
Slight diversion when my 1/48 Quickboost corrected A-10 fan front arrived. I ground the front face off and have test fitted it to my stator vane front section. Here is an image of the parts. I then ground the fronts off and temporarily sat them on top of the fan section ... Here it is loosely placed in position Few more details to add, but I think these will do the job perfectly. Minor disaster. The other side I made for the stator front I dropped last night, stepped back to look for it and somehow it ended up behind me and I stepped on it! So I am rebuilding it now...gah! Thanks for looking in as always Anthony Edited June 9, 2016 by Anthony in NZ Seversky, stusbke, ghatherly and 4 others
ClumsyDude
Anthony, that's properly awesome. Well done (and sorry to hear about the squashed stator vane). Jim Anthony in NZ

Anthony in NZ
Just a postscript, to those who didnt know. Draken International brought several of the ex RNZAF Skyhawks and fly them in DACT (?) missions in the US now. Apparently the pilots on both sides are pretty impressed with them and what they are capable of with all the avionics upgrades. Photo credit Josh Kaiser I am leaning toward the overall green scheme now....what do you think? Lizard 3 tone camo or green overall??? photo credit Redkiwi Notice fintip replaced on 04 after hitting HT power lines I believe! GMK
Overall green! Especially the patchy finish. Really enjoying following this one.
Anthony in NZ
Yes, I am with you on that. Overall green, quite weathered with paint touch ups and oil staining I think would look pretty interesting Bit like this Whitey and Youngtiger1

Anthony in NZ
Love seeing this old video clip. Imagine how good it would look filmed in todays Hi-definition cameras! NZ6212 would look great as well, I am leaning toward an ex Aussie G, turned K as well. Prob 6215, she was the oldest Skyhawk in service and had done 2 tours in Vietnam even before the Aussies got them... Cheers Anthony
