  1. The breakdown was laid out like this during the initial announcement: Fw 190A-3 (Basic) Fw 190A-4 (SWS) Fw 190A-5/6/7 (Basic) Fw 190A-8 (SWS) Fw 190D-9 (SWS)
  2. Really nice, Aaron! Love the way you rendered the "15", really well executed chipping and weathering.
  3. Stunning, just really a gorgeous model! Well done!
  4. I guess it all boils down to personal preference and what we find realistic. However, I'd say the "average Joe" prefers over the top weathering and this type of weathering somehow translates into better modeling skills. I've entered a couple of on-line contests on Facebook where the winners are determined by popular vote and inevitably the winners of these are aircraft with weathering that makes most AFVs look immaculately clean by comparison
  5. One off, RLM 25 was green, as used by JG 27 for their fuselage bands.
  6. Picked up the D-3 a couple of weeks ago, $33 shipping included! (Used $15 Dragon Dollars, but still)
  7. Gorgeous, paint really looks excellent!
  8. Nice work on the old warhorse!
  9. For a C-E model I wouldn't take the time to get the Revell up to speed but for the G model you're going to have to buy a conversion set for the Dragon kit anyways (I've got the Superbug G conversion set in the stash). I've got the Rutman correction set for the G-4 and some other goodies for the Revell kit. Will it be perfect? No but it should build up into a decent representation of a G-4.
  10. I plan on starting the "block of wood" G-4 in the near future.
  11. Bill, yes the mat is made by a company called Silfor, from Germany.
  12. First completion of the year and I've already matched last year's output! Fw 190A-5 of 3./JG 54, "Yellow 8" flown by Robert "Bazi" Weiss. 1/32 Hasegawa Fw 190A-5 with a few add-ons and mods (truthfully the kit doesn't need much): Quickboost exhausts and guns Montex wheels and belly pan Eduard STEEL seatbelts Scratch-built pitot tube Riveted with Radu B riveting wheel Montex mask for markings CMK resin seat Corrected dashboard coaming Added headrest armor brace wires Typical Hasegawa 190, shake n' bake, no drama. I elected to go with the locally mixed greens theory for JG 54. I used Tamiya Deep Green and Black Green. I wish I would have got a little more contrast but in reality the colors probably would have blended/faded to low contrast anyway (i.e. RLM 70/71). Weathered with AK weathering enamels and Windsor and Newton Raw Umber for the panel line wash. Enjoyable build, was never able to find a pic of the real aircraft so hopefully I came somewhat close!
