Absolutely right BIll and I wonder if the very same people moaning about 'market forces' in the pricing of OOP and desirable model kits like the WNW range etc. (or indeed anything in life) would be quite as subjectively naive if someone was to suggest to (them) .."OK then so on the basis of that logic, how about you reciprocate and sell me your house for the same or at a lower price than you originally paid for it...?"

While the resin canopy is desirable, it's possible to build the thing without it if you can't find one:

AKA Cafano Dorsale Posteriore -- with corrections to the Italeri kit part (which has an erroneous hatch and is missing the starboard gun cooling port) along with enhanced detail, including open louvers and fully modeled interior surfaces. Hatches modeled separately, along with the optional small rear-facing scoop seen on the later series.

These are terrific books. I was fortunate enough to be assigned a review of their Northrop F-5 offering:

Got mine in the mail last week. It's a fantastic reference book. Really has me excited for the kit. Have to build my Hasegawa one first

Bill Cross reacted to Tony T in New 1:32 F-4 Phantom Family Coming in 2022
This thread was originally about the Turkish-American developed 1:32 F-4B kit, the first in a promised series of J79-powered variants. Its nose section and some other bits have been tooled and test-fitted. The general consensus is that we might see a whole new F-4B airplane kit in 2025, with a J to follow. So far it looks very good.

A British Spey Toom kit was in development by Hong Kong Models but tragically later abandoned.

The best bet for a 1:32 F-4K/M is if Aerocraft expand what's available to a fuller 1:32 conversion set for the still widely available (and stashed) Tamiya F-4J, on which the Brit Phantom IIs are based. Aerocraft are 25% there already, with their nozzles, canopy and vari-ramp.

I'd welcome other conversions from a firm like ResKit: RF-4C/E, F-4G etc. The company's pylons, missiles and drop tanks are exquisite.

OK, not only the helos, but also the fixed wing aircrafts are back again here in Germany. Modellbau König has them in stock, ready to be bought and build (or to be hoarded in your stash ). Prices ARE higher than last time, but the world has moved and we have a real inflation here in Germany.

When you were still looking for a Kingfisher, a Mirage 2000 or a F-5 - here they are again. Grab them while available

Bill Cross reacted to norbert in Reedoak USAF F-16 pilot, sitting at controls, from the glorious days...(when I was younger)
    Hi
Here is an american F-16 pilot equiped with a HGU-55 helmet and the former MBU-12 mask, so a bit old style, and wearing only the seat harness and the G-suit : 80s - 2000s era, or later depending to the countries, squadrons and pilots. These gears were commonly used by several countries in the world. The type of pilot I could see in the "good old days" (was not always good, but I spend some good time on airfields...)

    cheers+
