  1. https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-landing-gear-legs Currently available for pre-order at a special price. We expect to begin shipping these the week of May 6. Two piece design allows assembly of landing gear after model is painted (!) Made of premium, super high strength resin. Finely detailed door support brackets and torque link. Separately rendered brake lines in resilient resin. Will work with the kit wheels or my aftermarket wheels and tires without modification. Please note the photos below are dry fit, pre-production items. Wheels and tires sold separately.
  2. Exhaust Stacks: completely hollow, very thin (~ 0.1mm at lip) with weld seam detail inside & out. 12 total, left & right. https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-exhaust-stacks Detail Pack #2 addresses some of the missing "greasy bits" under the hood. Essential if you are going to build your Folgore with open cowls: • Starboard Auxiliary "Crutch" with Hydraulic Tank, Injection Starter Pump, and Flame Arrestor • Oil Vapor Tank with associated hoses • Oil Tank Filler Neck, with separate cap • Port Auxiliary "Crutch" with Water Pressure Relief Switch and Voltage Regulator (this item is not missing in kit, but soft) https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-detail-pack-2
  3. Identical to the late style surfaces, save for the elevators, which lack the horn balances and hinge inspection plates on the upper surface. https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-control-surfaces
  4. https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-early-air-intake
  5. AKA Cafano Dorsale Posteriore -- with corrections to the Italeri kit part (which has an erroneous hatch and is missing the starboard gun cooling port) along with enhanced detail, including open louvers and fully modeled interior surfaces. Hatches modeled separately, along with the optional small rear-facing scoop seen on the later series. https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-rear-engine-cowling
  6. It depends on what is available. If I can find reliable drawings with dimensions— true for a lot (but not all) of Spitfire stuff, also Fokker D.VII and Albatros D.V— that becomes the source of truth. In the case of the Macchi stuff , there are lots of third party drawings in various scales but no actual original blueprints/ working drawings with 1:1 dimensions that I have been able to uncover, at least. At that point it becomes a matter of interpolating photos, juggling kit part dimensions and invoking the old Mark I eyeball.
  7. 3DP Canopy frames with precut acetate panes, with tools to precisely trim the windscreen windows. The late version set includes a clear printed armored glass panel. While it appears frosted in the picture, it can be easily polished to high clarity. Sets include a forming tool for the curved upper canopy glazing. Clamp the blank between the top and bottom mold shells and heat. It's made of material that can be safely baked or boiled up to 300°F / 150°C, but in actual practice, successful forming occurs at lower temps, for instance, boiling water. The late set includes a tool for holding the armored glass for polishing. The Sliding side windows run in tracks and can be positioned open, closed, ar anything in-between. Separate hood handles included. Modeler supplies the rod. .6mm brass tubing is suggested, but many materials will work. Available in strictly limited quantities here: https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-canopy
  8. Yes, but concrete details I have on that really are sketchy. In fact, details on the early machines period are sketchy. If you can point me to any references to help sort that would be helpful. I have been looking in vain for months now for the 2015(?) Maurizio Di Terlizzi "Valiant Wings Publishing – Airframe Detail No.3: The Macchi MC.202 Folgore – A Technical Guide" -- otherwise, I think I have just about everything that has been published on the type, but any advice warmly welcomed. If interested we have a small but active FB group called Wacky Macchis that is devoted to all things Macchi. Join if interested.
  9. This has finally been green-lit. It is available for order here. The cooler can be ordered with or without the lower cowling piece. The cowling can be had with separately rendered latches (ideal for dioramas and masochists) or with the latches integrated in to the cooling surface (what I assume most non-insane people will prefer.) It also available as part of the Macchi Upgrade Bundle, Super Deluxe Edition.
  10. Available now -- fuselage gun access panels for Macchi C.202, supporting all series. Where appropriate, the panels feature open louvers, separate hatches, and integrated cockpit air scoop with fine details. I think my rendition of the Dzuzs quarter turn fasteners is a little more finessed than the kit part as well. Three versions: Early (serie I-VI) -- plain covers Mid (serie VII-X) -- cooling louvers, air intake and a single hatch on the port cover Late (sire XI+) -- two additional hatches at the front of the covers https://www.aircraftinpixels.com/shop/p/132-scale-macchi-c202-gun-access-panels This set is also now available as part of the Macchi C.202 Upgrade Bundle (Mega Edition)
  11. Hi -- yes, my part has the flat recess for the kit spar stubs -- as you have probably surmised, this is not quite accurate, but most modelers want a drop-in part. (I used to offer a tank with an accurate lower portion including the drain funnel, but it was not popular...)
