  1. I saw the Valkyrie is Ohio many years ago, and remember vividly seeing her for the first time.  In fact, she was THE reason I went there!  As I walked into the hangar where she was sitting, I felt immediate disappointment as I didn't see her there.  A few moments later, I realized I had walked into the hangar under her nose, and when I looked towards the back of the hangar I saw her fuselage, and THEN followed that gorgeous neck all of the way to the nose above me!  What a first impression...

I know that when he moved one of them from South Florida to Texas the fuel bill was north of 15K-

 I knew those things had to be expensive to fly, but I didn't realize they were that expensive!  Any idea what the CPFH is on one of these?

  3. What a treat Chuck, I didn't realize before now that you post your work here!  Going waaaaay back to my days over at FSM, your builds always inspired me to do better.  Not only are they informative and CRAZY good, but the presentation and anecdotes made for a wonderful read!  I am so glad to see you here, and I look forward to more of your work.

    Okay, back to the thread!

Love what you're doing here, amazing attention to detail as always.

Thanks for stopping by Frank!  Well, I could drop the forward fuselage off at your place, then you could work on the flight deck. Or just pretend it's your kit, and jump right in and help!

Hahaha!  Not far from you, 20 minutes west of Madison here!

  5. Another one signed on Tom, you're doing a magnificent job so far and I plan to steal borrow your tips here.  I have the Hobby Boss 1/48 A6-A kit to build, in honor of a man shot down in one in January '69.  I have worn a POW/MIA bracelet with his name on it for nearly 30 years, and have wanted to honor him by building this kit.

His name was Capt. Edwin J. Fickler, VMA(AW)-242.
