Do you have any micromesh? 6k to 12k grit? I would try wet sanding first. Being careful and gentle you might get it back to where you can save it. Add a drop of dish detergent to your cup of water for lubrication. Hold the micromesh on your fingertip... don't use a sanding block.

Another step forward - Surfacer 1200. I use Levelling thinner to make surface smoother, key is to spray thin layers, with proportions even 70% of thinner and 30% of surfacer. I always pour LT into jar to have it more fluid. From Hasegawa kit I have propeller which is more finesse than from the box.

Man I love the way nothing phases you John……… I would’ve just changed the paint scheme or just left it alone!
Great attention to detail.

Thanks mate!
I do not know if these progresses are nice or not but the simple fact that there ARE some progresses is already a victory to me

Great progress. Respect fot your attention to details
That would be an option, but then the element would probably be thicker. Now, when the brass is used, the fine edges match the scale perfectly (to my eye). Keep going!!!

They are Nanlite Compac 24B LED lamps, 24W each. I bought a kit that included both lights and their stands, but as the stand mounts had changed between production runs, I had to get the retailer to send me a pair of adapters. They work really well, with my only dislike being that they get in the way sometimes. There's now a wide shelf running across the top of the PVC frame in the photo, so I'm thinking of mounting them on that in more of an overhead fashion, so that the table itself is free of obstacles.

Hi Loic I’ve built this kit and despite some issues in accuracy, canopy and top fuselage too round in cross section, prop blades wrong and details missing from rear tail area you will not have issues with the fit of this kit.

I also took the opportunity to paint the wheel wells using MRP yellow for the overall colour and acrylic paints for the details.
All details were then highlighted with a black wash.
Additional weathering is required as I plan to depict the dirt splatters from the wheels.

Another thread revival, this one to show the stand in use under a Tamiya Spitfire XVI, hopefully this will give a better idea of the size.
