Mr scale32 Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Howdy all!! At Last, It is now time for Mr scale to create a build here on LSP. :-) For this I will do a English made aircraft. Mr scale32 Posted October 20, 2016 Author Posted October 20, 2016 On going with the windshield. I think the model need more details in the windshield area. Like frames and instruments. Now we dryfit the windshield and cockpit. They will acually work together! MikeC, Uncarina, Kagemusha and 4 others 7
Jack Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 whoah, great start, especially the cockpit area, very nice, have fun building, i'm sure it will be satisfying. Jack.
Hubert Boillot Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Woahh. Plenty of Lightning WiPs on LSP at this time ! Me a happy man HUbert
ClumsyDude Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 Nice work, Henrik. How did you cut that shape for the canopy seal so cleanly? Also, I really like the cockpit detail work. Jim Tony C 1

Mr scale32 Posted October 24, 2016 Author Posted October 24, 2016 Hello there! Well i guess i have steady hands. I cut the frame with a xactoblade. It was like cutting butter I also added details on the canopy. Out of the box canopy is a bit clean. For better or worse, you decide! I almost finished, wash and matt cote next. Mr scale32 Posted November 9, 2016 Author Posted November 9, 2016 Ok! Been working on the wings. When I dry fit the wings to the fuselage, I notice some trouble with the joining. Trumpeter wants you to glue the wings at last part of the build. This is not the right way to do if you dont want fitting problems. You have to glue the wings FIRST, even before the fuselage is glued. I solved this problem by drill holes and lock the wings with steel pins. After this the wings fits nicely with a seamless joing to the fuselage. That was just one of the problems with joining. To fill many of the seams that is ugly as hell. I use the method with liquid putty and isopropanol. First of all just use putty in the affected area and let it dry for a while. Then use cotton pins soaked in isopropanol. johncrow, Victor K2, Shaka HI and 1 other 4
Mr scale32 Posted November 9, 2016 Author Posted November 9, 2016 (edited) Hey! Over to the landing gears. Out of the box they are pretty out of details. I needed to add details like brake lines and other stuff. With Master Resin wheels they turned out quite nice. Edited November 9, 2016 by Mr scale32 Kagemusha, Stevepd, Victor K2 and 1 other 4
ericg Posted November 9, 2016 Posted November 9, 2016 Great start. They kit builds into a very impressively sized beast when it is finished. Are you undertaking any of the common modifications to it it or leaving it mostly as is? Eric.

It is a model itself. But im not gonna use any Cyano glue(I will only use cyano to the scratch made triangle thingy that holds the footstands) . I will weld it. I need some equipment for this: Liquid weldigsolder. Weld station. Calipers Ready to begin.
Mr scale32 Posted December 4, 2016 Author Posted December 4, 2016 And it is done! Feel free to comment! KiwiZac, Shaka HI, Kagemusha and 1 other 4
Victor K2 Posted December 4, 2016 Posted December 4, 2016 A step in the right direction Great work on those steps. Look forward to seeing more of this build.
