dmthamade
Still with PB so i don't know how much longer this will work, will go with one of the other options soon. This is the Czech Models kit of the F-80, looks like the T-33 by the same manufacturer. Haven't tried any dry fitting yet, reading reviews and builds, i'm sure i'll have my work cut out for me. I have done the T-33 in canadian markings, it was the worst fitting kit i had done in a long time, a battle to get everything sorted out but in the end well worth the effort. I guess it's a typical short run kit. Decal options are very colorful, there is not much out there aftermarket wise. Don't know if i'll add much to the pit, not much to see in the small opening. Standard pic of the kit. Pic of the T-33 i did. Don BradG, red baron, Harold and 11 others

ClumsyDude
Imageshack is looking good, so off you go! I was a huge fan of your T-33 so looking forward to this one too. Jim dmthamade
dmthamade
Image shack seems to be a big improvement over PB, pictures appear as i took them, not darker or with less detail. I've been away from the bench for the most part, enjoying summer and been off on vacation for the last week. Not much done, but did a manage a bit yesterday. The fit on this kit is better than the T-33 was, intakes were much easier to fit, and the wing bottom to fuselage joint is also much better. Not to say it's Tamiya quality but nothing insurmountable. It says "Limited Run" on the box, i get that and am OK with it. Not crazy about the decal selection in the lit or aftermarket, have to figure out what i'll do about that. dmthamade
So, last night had some time at the bench and accomplished a lot. Cleaned up the wing seams and glued onto fuselage. This AM i checked out the work, looked good, some seams to be filled but nothing major. One small problem....i forgot to finish and install a "small" detail. You can see it there... dmthamade
Don Yikes. I posted my idea it the other thread for you. I'm sure a few of the suggestions will work Peter There are a lot of suggestions given, going to take a bit of a break to figure this out. Really hate the idea of cracking this one open... Don It was going together so much easier than the T-33..... LSP_Kevin
dmthamade
After some thought and suggestions on how to fix, i managed to fit the pit in with no cutting of the fuselage. First i cut the tub up a little bit. By cutting off the rear bulkhead and cutting out the small kickout, i can squeeze the pit together and it falls into place in thru the hole!!! I went ahead and glued it in, then reattached the rear bulkhead. The big hole will be covered by the seat Big sigh of relief!! I'll paint it in place, not too worried about the consoles as realistically very little can be seen. The instrument panel i will use the PE parts. Back on track, now Thanks to all who offered suggestions!! Don BloorwestSiR, Hardcore, RLWP and 11 others

BloorwestSiR
Great recovery Don! I wouldn't have thought of squeezing the two side consoles together like that. Carl dmthamade
