Collin Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Assuming the 1/48 set is drop fit/designed to work with the Tamiya A-1H/J wings? Cheers Collin

Cheers Collin Hi Colin, No this will be a separate, complete kit. I don't have any other kit so I can't tell if it fits as a conversion but I try to follow the drawings as closely as possible.
thaipham101 Posted January 24 Author Posted January 24 So, finally my decals arrived after much hurdles. Initial decal supplier needed a good minimum order size and it turned out a little too big for my budget so I had to find another guy. Thanks God things went well besides the misprinted Bu.No. on the VNAF version that I had to wait for the correction sheet. After some consulting, moving forward I'll offer my kits in single paint scheme format to reduce cost and none of us use all the decals in our kits anyway. To compensate for that I invest in better resin and now no more Sunlu resin, my kits will be printed in ABS-like resin for better toughness. I'll release the pics of the armaments included in the kit plus the ones that you guys can order on the side in the coming days. For the kit there will be 10 5" HVAR, 2 BLU-27 canisters, 2 Mk. 82 bomb with 2 fuse options, 2 LAU-10, and 1 AERO-1D 300 gal drop tank chukw, Dekon, LSP_Kevin and 11 others 14

I just looked through my old vnaf.net A-1 photos and back then I only ever found A-1Es in cammo, no A-1Gs. The only ones I have were grey.

I'll have to dig through my archives but the line between A-1E and G in the VNAF is pretty blur. From what I gather from ex-VNAF personnels it's basically a melting pot, some parts here some part there, on the same airframe there might be some E parts and some G parts, and a lot of conflicted info on which aircraft is which but I'm prety sure there's a Frankenstein monster of Skyraider out there with some camo parts from a G and some gray/white parts from an E.
thaipham101 Posted January 29 Author Posted January 29 I'm house sitting for my gf's family from today through the weekend, so no photograph just yet, mostly printing to fulfill orders. My files are getting too big for my laptop to handle so I took the time to work on new decals plus rendering some pics with weapons. Still figuring out how to render clear parts to my liking, in the meantime I'll leave the canopies off. This is what the kit looks like with weapons attached dustiepal, LSP_Kevin, Fanes and 6 others 9
csavaglio Posted January 30 Posted January 30 (edited) If we order the kit now, does it have a vac canopy? I'm considering ordering, but it seems like the development is still in progress. Maybe I'm not following everything... A lot of non modeling stuff taking up brain power right now. Edited January 30 by csavaglio

Kit includes 3D-printed resin parts, decals, and vacu-form clear parts for canopy and 3D printed canopy frames. Regards - dutik
