Archimedes
Hi Andy, The additions you are making are really adding that extra level of detail that will give it that ‘certain something’ once done. The Dept of Corrections nose and prop look excellent! Kind regards, Paul monthebiff
geedubelyer
Nice work Andy and thanks for the heads-up on the wing fillets. I agree, Kotare have made a fine job of the dimpled rivet effect. She's looking alot like a Spitfire now. Keep it up. monthebiff

Biggles87
Thanks also for the heads up on the wing fillets, your test fit looks pretty good. My natural instinct would have been to fit the fillets first, so that's what I'll do when I get mine It's a pity the Rotol prop is no longer available, it looks good. Kind regards, Paul Yes it's such a shame Dept of Correction went through as they had some lovely products but very happy I can make the most of the one I have. So I built my MkI Early kit as per the instructions and had serous issues getting the wing assembly mated with the fuselage. Going this route is definitely better but still very tight. I really don't understand why kit manufacturers have to go this tight on tolerances as frankly its not enjoyable at times! Regards. monthebiff
A very enjoyable evening doing my favourite part of a build which is decals, Cockpit all decalled and very happy with the results So with the cockpit completed to this point It was time to file away several mm's of Yahu Mk.V instrument panel which was designed for the terrible Hobby Boss kit which is troubled by very poor shape. Time for a little weathering and then bring everything together. Regards. It's all in the gloss coat Max, funny isn't it as I hate using your goto method of masks as I just find them painful to use. Regards. monthebiff
Managed to complete the cockpit assembly today, first up was adding the HGW seatbelts and then fit the Barracudacast plastic seat and armoured backrest to the Kotare frame and then the Barracudacast late control column to the footboards as well as adding straps to the pedals And the rest of the sub assemblies prior to assembly And the cockpit tub together Time to get the fuselage together now and then concentrate on finishing the wing conversion.
