Sweet!

 When attending AV in Wisconsin for many years, it was always fun to go to the bulletin boards and see casual papers stuck to the board advertising sales of things like T-28s and fully/partially restored P-51s, all in the 500,000 to 5,000,000 range at the time depending on condition. 

Crazy stuff to be rich!

Lessee:  $850K for the airplane, $850K for insurance, $850K for a years worth of gas, probably another $850K in required maintenance and another $850K to bribe the spousal unit into letting you buy it.  So, yeah, that’s a pretty good deal.  Oh, and it probably doesn’t turn any better than a Tomcat.

cool thing about the T-38 is the wife was an IP in the jet- so she’s all in

Yeah, but that’s a really long honey-do list.  You still haven’t finished your Smurf jet - can’t imagine how long it would take you to put a full-sized one back together.
