Kagemusha
This is LSP, you're probably better asking about small scale stuff at somewhere like ARC. BiggTim, LSP_K2 and LSP_Ron

The occasional off topic model chat is cool, but for ideas as to what's the best of this or that, there are far better sites more suited to that. RBrown
As far as 1/48 scale P-40 E my preference is Hasegawa. I suggest you check out Scalemates , for reviews and links to other P-40 kits. Pup7309
John Stambaugh
What!! You mean that there are scale aircraft smaller than 1/32? LSP_Ron, Gazzas, Pup7309 and 2 others 2 1
LSP_Mike
It seems that way sir. In fact(and this is crazy) there seem to be many websites that cater to the wee scale kits. So much so, that a new, (back in ought 3 it was) bold website was created specifically for 1/32 modelling. And here we are. VMA131Marine
The best 1/72 scale P-40s, from the E-N are the Special Hobby kits by far. Accurate shapes, beautiful surface details, nicely detailed cockpit out-of-the-box, and the fit is good too. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/special-hobby-sh72338-p-40e-claws-and-teeth--1225567# Pup7309 and scvrobeson 1

Maybe so, but these continual threads on topics which don't belong here are turning the site into something it's not, what next a thread about what washing powder to use if you live in an area with hard water. Take a hint. VMA131Marine, LSP_Ron, D.B. Andrus and 1 other 3

Take a hint. Since the original post concerned an aircraft and modeling it is more relevant to the theme of LSP than a lot of what is posted in the General Discussion. Also consider that the most likely source of new large scale modelers is someone who is already engaged in some aspect of modeling. Perhaps positive responses would help in recruiting new converts from the smaller scales. PhilHoff, Gazzas, J.C. and 2 others 1
Kagemusha
If you had someone into Jazz, and they go into a record store specialising in Grunge, and asked for recommendations by Miles Davis, they'd probably get strange looks, and not many responses. If the same person went into a Jazz record store and asked the same question, they'd get a more informed response. A few days later that person returns to the Grunge store and asks for recommendations by John Coltrane. A few days after that, there again asking about Courtney Pine. We get people asking from time to time why something like a 1/48 B-52 isn't considered an LSP, when the answer is right there on the tin, it's what makes this place unique, and a constant stream of posts relating to other scales is going to eradicate that, and at some point you've got to say enough is enough. What's wrong with joining ARC and asking the question there, it's what I'd do. BiggTim, LSP_K2 and D Bellis

Better yet, just Google it and get hits for the other 15,000 times that same question has been asked & answered on ARC and elsewhere. D BiggTim, LSP_K2 and D.B. A thread about muscle cars is encouraged but one on 48th scale is flamed. Then some weird justification and further piling in and doubling down.
