wunwinglow
Fabulous as the Italeri Tornado is, the ordnance provided is barking mad, so I thought I ought to make some proper weapons for it. First off (after the Litening pod I did for the Revell Typhoon, which will work on an RAF Tornado, of course..) I think the ALARM anti radar missile is a very impressive piece of kit... I am working these up as a bunch of 3d printed little bits, based around some plastic pipe. I felt a solid 3d printed item would be too heavy, and, well, I had a pile of suitable piping! CAD first. I use Rhino 3d. More to do on the various pylon adapters, and assembly of the first set of parts. I'll post more as I progress... Lancman
Some great stuff there Tim especially the lightening pod, I'll have to get one of them as we supply the laser for that. Any chance of making an RAF instrument panel for the Navs position? Rockie Yarwood
wunwinglow
Hi, yes, drop me line, I have the Litening pods in stock, so no problem with that. Iain is working on the instruments for the F3 at the moment, so will def look at that as well. The kit is really nice in that respect. wunwinglow
Hardware. Sorry, mobile not very flattering in close up mode! Makes the build lines look dreadful, but honest, you can't even feel them! Isar 30/07, Starfighter, Anthony in NZ and 2 others
Mark M
those look great, but a word of warning for anyone thinking of using them with the new Italeri kit, the RAF stopped using ALARMS in 2013 so any builds must be before that period ill get some for my revell gr1 gulf girl Isar 30/07, Anthony in NZ and wunwinglow
wunwinglow
Good point, although as I have at least 6 Revell kits in the stash, I will have plenty of GR1s to hang them on!! And I suspect I am not the only one!! Mark M
