Kendzior
It was suspected to be a tough guy and it is one indeed. Two fuselage halves joined together - the fit is poor, to remain polite. Lots of CA will help to make it smooth. Wings to fuselage joint will be a real challenge. There's almost no fit, especially the lower part of the wings doesn't match. Out2gtcha
Would it help the fuse to wing fit to do the old trick of gluing the upper wings to the fuselage first, then gluing on the bottom 1/2 of the wing? Yes, that is one of the ideas I consider. This however, doesn't help with the lower part of the wings. And first of all I'd like to keep the correct dihedral. Will see. waroff
to maintain a correct dihedral, I have made a jig then I bonded a stringer on inner side of top halves. In this manner, the fuselage is squeezed(the frame must be reduced in wide) On this pic yuo can see the stringer, a plastic stripe 0.15x0.15 https://lapatrouillesimple.forumgratuit.org/t101p50-p36-le-curtiss-model-75 LSP_Kevin, KUROK, R Palimaka and 4 others 6
Kendzior
Splendid, many thanks for that, the stringer seems to be a very good solution. Best regards Hubert
Marcin_Matejko
Well done. One of the most beautiful planes for me. Kendzior
Kendzior
Sanded off as much unnecessary material from the resin covers of the wheel wells as needed to fit them between the wing halves. That wasn't enough ... but now they're ready to install: Some work on the fuselage halves joints: And the air intake - still needs some attention,... ... but I think it doesn't look bad even now, compared to this: Biggles87, R Palimaka, scvrobeson and 4 others

Kendzior
Thanks Mates! The moment of truth is inevitably approaching: how will the wings fit? Well, it looks like there will be no tragedy. The wheel wells covers installed. The dihedral will need some attention, but compared to the drawings, the adjustments should not be challenging. These gaps, well - have been expecting that. Don't mind the geometry at this stage, nothing is glued, no adjustments made, so it is still an open question. Stay tuned, Hubert R Palimaka, LSP_Kevin, Tolga ULGUR and 5 others
