EricF
Hi Thanks Barry and Marcel111 It's time to work on the fore part: the cockpit area. I started with the canopy fairing which is suffering a little bit of the same issue as the 1/48 Hasegawa. This is how I solved the problem here below Both fuselages side by side to compare before and after modification Stay tuned Eric Starfighter, Anthony in NZ, Pfuf and 2 others

EricF
Hi, I started to work today on the rear part of the cockpit This is the area were we need to pay attention for preparing the adjustment of the Avionics part. If the tub is drop and fit, it is not the case here. Marcel111 and Starfighter

EricF
I focused my attention on the cockpit. I have both Avionics and Aires. After checking my doc, even if the Avionics looks good, I find it too wide in between the consoles. The Aires one has side consoles proportion closer the the real thing than the Avionics. And something leads me to find the solution. Take a look at the pic here below....... The Aires cockpit is too short ! Otherwise it is drop and fit in width and height after some sanding at the bottom. Anyway, it has not the LOX compartment that we find in the Avionics kit So the next step will to adapt it on the Aires kit. Cheers, Eric LSP_Kevin and Starfighter
EricF
This is an hybrid between Avionics and Aires and it works good The gap on each side is normal, the side walls are not in place on the pic but it gives an idea of build inside the fuselage Starfighter, johncrow, LSP_Kevin and 2 others
EricF
To avoid troubles when attaching the cockpit tub, I took the option to attach the sidewalls on the fuselage first and not to the tub. I will fill the gaps with Evergreen to center the tub in the fuselage in the end. But first, do not forget the canopy locking system stusbke, jgrease, Whitey and 4 others
Starfighter
Great job, very neat! And the best is, almost all of it will be visible at the end. Keep the pics coming! stusbke and EricF
