W/O any color pics I'm not 100% sure, may x-ref against BOB '109s? Thanks Shawn! I added a touch of olive drab to the exhaust staining which I think looks better now. Fanes
That's looking really good! I'm looking forward to the finished plane. BloorwestSiR
chrish
Great work! weathering is/can be so subjective it’s sometimes tough to tell how much to do. Some pictures of these aircraft in service seem to show highly polished shiny clean aircraft. I think you’ve found a great balance here! BloorwestSiR
I've started working on some of the fiddly bits. I had brass MG barrels but was debating on whether to use them or not. Eventually I decided to swap them.out after seeing Fanes' results. Here's the kit's rear gun: These are the nose guns in the midst of removing the kit barrels. I still need to add the sight to the rear gun and finish off the second pair of nose MGs but it's a start. JefH, BradG and Fanes
BloorwestSiR
Next up were the prop blades and spinners. The hubs are made up of a number of parts which are somewhat visible upon completion. With a coat of paint on everything: Once I paint the tips of the spinners white, I'll complete their assembly. I generally prefer to use masks for most large markings when available so I did so here. Out2gtcha, LSP_Kevin, Fanes and 9 others
