jmel
Great work, Carl. You may want to check your references, though. If you're building a late DMAS/TISEO F-4E from Clark, those jets didn't have the belly strap. Jake

I don't have too much for reference, mostly your book and a couple others. As we're so close to Halloween, I don't think I'll be getting to much done until after as I have to make a couple costumes for my boys. I'll if I can sneak in some work though. BloorwestSiR
Well, time to show the Phantom some love. I got around to masking off the cockpit and gear bays and started putting some paint on. I started with the light grey FS36270 using a really old bottle of Gunze. It worked so once that's dry, I'll get started on the Gunship Grey. Carl sandokan, Shaka HI, LSP_Kevin and 5 others

BloorwestSiR
Thanks gents! I started on the Gunship Grey. I'll have to do it step by step as the F-4 is too big to do in one shot. BloorwestSiR
I finished applying the topside Gunship Grey. And then did the underside. So next up will be the burner can areas. themongoose
Coming together nicely, I can't wait to see the burner cans. Will you post a closeup of The bare metal and cans when they're in? I've only done it once and would benefit from your approach I think looking at the rest of your painting. BloorwestSiR

BloorwestSiR
Great Job Carl! HIll Gray looked nice on the Late F-4's Paul Thanks Paul! Growing up, it was always SEA camo on F-4s, then I saw my first Hill Grey one and had to have one. Euro One is also really cool to me and I'll be doing an F-4G in that scheme.
