I have one of these here and the printing is superb!

You're doing such a great job with this. Love it!

Only initial 3D modelling at this stage. It's not a design priority at the moment.

Jeepers, I hope the wait is worth it. On the plus side it gives me time to save. Do we know which model Lanc it will be yet?

Any more word on release date?
As an indication, we'll have a test shot at the Shizuoka show in May. The kit is still being tooled. The instructions need to be done, and so do the decals. I imagine the boxes still need to be printed and manufactured. If I was to give a semi-educated guess, I would say release would be late Q2 to early Q3.

...Reworking the engine nacels will be more of a challenge.
And reworking the nose and glazing will make that look a walk in the park.

But, but, people supposedly in the know claimed that HK had shelved their two-seater after Z-M released their kit.
Yup. Same applies to the Ju 52.

Hi all,
I really do wish HKM had done the Do 335A-12 first, but hey ho! At least I got the chance to build two of the previous versions and I loved them. Today, I received two test shots in the mail, for the future Anteater version of the Do 335, and I'm pretty stoked. Work starts soon. The kit is pretty much the same as the fighter version, but for two different sprues. One is the grey one you see here, and of course a clear sprue (not photographed). This is only a test shot too, and some refinements need to be made to things, but it is eminently buildable, and I'll do this for Military Illustrated Modeller. Here you also see the box art that was done by some friends of mine. They are working on the decals and instructions at the moment.
HK will first release the B-6 night fighter, and then it's the turn for this beauty!

ZM kit, for the win. When you know the He 219, then Revell's kit is almost like a caricature. Don't get me wrong, it's still a very nice kit, but much isn't right with it like shapes, angles, surface details. ZM kit it on the nail, but it's no walk in the park, and of course it costs over three times the price.

Deformed flaps? They weren't deformed on the one I built. They also assembled easily.

I hope this is close to being released but since we still aren't seeing any sprue shots I feel it is further away than most of us think or hope.
I've held off buying any of the big bombers but this kit will definitely be on my must-have lists.
You need tools to have test shots. The Lanc is currently being tooled. Sprue shots sometime mid-late January, from my estimation.

I don't know about the US, but I know Black Mike Models in Scotland does them. You could ask for a shipping quote.

Thanks guys.
I've heard numerous things about this kit, with the fit of the cowls being the main concern. Having built two so far, I can say I've had no issue, but you of course need to be methodical when it comes to dry fitting etc. Buy with confidence. One of the most fun builds I've had, next to the HKM Do 335 range.

I'd really like to see them finish up the Do335 series like they teased on the boxes before moving into THE NEXT BIG THING.
Do 335: watch out later this year....

Hi all,
I recently finished another rush build for Tamiya Model Magazine International. This time it was the new tool Fw 190A-8/R11 in 1/32. I built the F-8 2 or 3 years ago and loved it. This has the same fun factor. I also fitted it with numerous Eduard PE and resin sets. Paint is MRP.
Look out for this one in the December issue of TMMI, out on November 16th.

White metal fuse? Makes me shudder and reminds me of SAC.
Maybe it's a zinc alloy.

I'm familiar with Artesania wooden ship kits as I run Model Ship World, and I've built a number. This however, looks to be in a different class and I'm very interested myself. Let me know if you opt for this one.

There will be no Lanc for Christmas. Tooling is about to get underway, and this will take 3 months. After that, it's test and make any amendments. The idea is to have something for Nuremburg, and release sometime thereafter. There should be a painted one completed for Shizuoka, if you want to come and take a look.

As long as we're asking RoG for stuff, how about a decent MiG-17? The Trumpeter version has got a lot of problems, nobody (afaik) makes a resin version, and the -F served in a lot of places. Plus, it wouldn't be that hard to also tool an -A (though I suspect it would appeal to a limited market).
Don't mind me dreaming here . . .
And this relates to a P-51B just how?

Utter crap. Seen much of this stuff and it's the epitome of diabolical.

You still sore at them allegedly stealing your Dottie Mae artwork?
