SeaVenom got a reaction from MikeMaben in How accurate is this Tamiya Frank scheme?
Thanks and I think you've summed it up well there.   Scrolling down a bit on this page......

to the 47th Sentai model depicted the article writer seems to think that's convincingly done so maybe a photo of that particular plane exists somewhere

Mark Smith's splendid 1/48th scale Hasegawa Ki-84 model above, which should have been shown here long before now and of which more images are to follow, is convincingly depicted in the late-war factory scheme and represents an aircraft of the 47th Sentai in the late Spring of 1945.   Mind you like you said there probably isn't much info or even a photo.

I wish some company would do an all new accurate Foxbat in 1/32.

The only thing that worked for me on Rodens Fokker DVI lozenge decals (which are absolutely appalling......probably the worst decals I've ever come across) is using Halfords clear lacquer to seal them (even then the surface is still brittle but that's not the fault of the lacquer).   And then give them a coat of Halfords matt lacquer.

I'll probably use the same technique on my Roden Blue Max Pfalz lozenge (which hopefully have much better decals by Cartograf).

Thanks.   If that Bader kit was released a few years back then it's surprising they're even describing it as new.

    Be nice to have a 1-16 in 1/32.   Let's hope it's good.

I see there's a new Spit but it's probably the old kit from 2001 or thereabouts.........

Afraid I'd have to go for Trumpy.   I've got both kits and whilst the Airfix kit might have a more accurate outline........it's pretty bad in detail.   Soft details, trench like panel lines and just generally time Airfix gave us an all new 1/24th kit.   The Trumpy kit might have inaccuracies but at least the detail is nice and crisp.

It would and it's long overdue.   Plus the other old 1/24th kits.

No from me too.   I think manufacturers think us modellers automatically want kits of the latest aircraft etc but a lot of modern jets look pretty boring.  The F22 and F35 are interesting aircraft but I don't think they're that interesting to look at.

We haven't even got a decent Mig 25 Foxbat in any scale yet.  Something modellers have been asking for....for years.

Great stuff!   Long overdue we had accurate kits of those in any scale let alone 1/32.

The FRS 1 is probably my second fave version so agree it's a nice looking aircraft.   Just not as nice as the GR.1 for me.  Especially in 70s RAF camo.

There's only 1 Harrier as far as I'm concerned and that's the GR.1.  After that I think it became increasingly ugly.

Tis great news if true.   I hope they go to town on the details like doing the small wing lights as separate clear lense's etc.

I'd say a new Spit Mk1 and a Mustang.  Both of those toolings are way past their sell by date (especially the Mustang).

Well said.  It might be an advanced aircraft but it just doesn't have very appealing lines (to me anyway).   A bit like some modern racing cars like Formula 1 cars.  Technically advanced but dull as hell to look at.  Racing cars from the 60s and 70s look so much more interesting.

Two other stealth aircraft.........the B2 and F117 on the other hand now they look interesting.

I should imagine that most if not all people on here are voting no not because they've got a "Euro-centric prejudice" or because it's "America" or because we can't afford our own 5th gen fighter but because they find it a bit bland looking.......so that's a bit of a stupid response and says more about your way of thinking than anything else.  For a start the UK and other countries are involved in the F35 and not all the people saying no on here are from Europe.  There's is actually some from America too if you look and some from Europe are voting yes.   I should imagine that just about everyone voting no likes plenty of other American jets and aircraft (like myself).   I want a Brewster Buffalo in 1/24th scale for a start plus a new tool larger SR71.  So don't jump to conclusions so quickly as it makes you look prejudiced.    .

SeaVenom got a reaction from Thunda in Will we get any more 1/32 kits from Hasegawa?
No doubt there's details here and there that can be added (like with most kits) but the only real things I could be bothered adding is new gun barrels and seatbelts as I didn't make the pilot (unlike I did with the P40).   Unless you have the engine on display there's not much that can be seen and the pit and wheel wells look ok to me.

As Jennings and fightersweep says there's plenty of room for improvement on that disappointing new Revell kit.   I'd rather pay a bit more for something more accurate.

I think it's just a nice touch and drilling out barrels can be a bit dubious.   They rarely look right to me.
