Here is my build of Roden's Sopwith Strutter kit.  I have replaced the kit engine with a Vector Clerget 9 engine and made numerous scratchbuilt parts.  I have represented the flying wires with tubing and monofilament.  The kit has a typical Roden flavor with improved wing strut locating pins and holes.
I have depicted a USAS strutter of the 90th Aero Squadron flown by Lt. H. R. Ellis and Lt. P. B. Schuss out of the Ourches aerodrome in France in July 1918.  The research work was done by George Grasse, to whom I am grateful for his effort.  The plane still had French markings as it came from a French squadron.

Here I present my build of the Fokker DR.I #425/17 in its early days.
This Meng kit is well detailed and mine presented additional work due to mis-aligned mold halves, in addition to the usual warped wings and broken fuselage panel.

kensar got a reaction from LSP_K2 in MRP crazing plastic?
I am using MRP paints for the first time on a Hobby Boss TA-152 and I am seeing this.  My impression is that the MRP paints are thinned too much to spray them closely onto a surface and the thinner does not evaporate quickly enough.  This gives the paint pigments time to conglomerate into the 'rough' surface before the thinner does evaporate.  I'm calling it 'weathering'.  Try spraying from a greater distance, giving the thinner more time to evaporate before reaching the surface and see if you get different results.

    Just a theory.
