Guest Maxim
Can't wait to see them painted up. They'll certainly add life to the Catalina.

kkarlsen
I finally decided not to do a large diorama for the Cat'. I'm afraid it would become too clumsy. Instead it's going to become a 'Vignette' This photo is supposed to have been taken at Narsarsuaq (Bluie West One) in Greenland 1943. It's the inspiration for the base. After some initial testing I made a silicone mold of photo etched PSP planking, Then I pouring the resin copy's, mostly to get a more uneven structure to the vignette, but also to avoid the cost of the expensive PE. Everything was then primed with a dark grey color. Drybrushing with different nuances and using various pigments, the vignette is starting to come to life... The paintwork has been exaggerated a bit, to get an uneven structured look. Now I have to put all the parts together to see if the colors need adjusting...
