Revell 1:32 P-51D (‘Late’ boxing.)

I’ve traditionally not published an ‘RFI’ for my completed projects, as well, quite frankly, I’ve not thought them worthy to be sat alongside some of the amazing work that gets published here.

I’m not actually sure this one is either, but I do think it is a stepped improvement from my previous work and also because I’ve employed some ‘non-standard’ techniques to achieve the results I have!

What sets this apart is my use of Humbrol’s Metal Cote for the NMF. I used it on a whim, as I’ve never had much luck with all the ‘traditional’ metallic products.

And I’m really quite pleased with how it turned out!

I hope you agree with me.

Well done Rich, that’s a good looking Mustang! I’ve read through your build thread, it certainly had a few gremlins en route, but the end result is well worth the effort. :clap2:

If I may, try taking your pictures with as clear, or plain background as possible. It will focus our attention on the model itself and not distract from all that lovely detail that you’ve meticulously included! :D

Thanks Max.

Point taken on the photo background. It's finding such a place in this house! The kitchen table is the least cluttered area, which is where I took the first set of photos. I'll take the time to clear it when I (hopefully) do the same with my next project - the P-47D! :)

Very good - 4th Fighter group ?

"1000 Destroyed" is a good read about their exploits at Debden if you're so minded , also "Escort to Berlin" , both contemporary .

Thank you, yeah, 4th FG.

I don’t need much encouragement to get new books and they sound rather interesting - cheers - I’ll add them to my buy to do list!
