Rick K
Barracuda Studios wheels and UltraCast props get some MRP love. Prop blades dry fitted. Engine cowling components gets some primer. LSP member David Hansen informed me the UltraCast HS prop is paddle blade and the birdcage Corsairs used HS elliptical blade. I really like the UltraCast prop hub/Boss so like any modeler with OCD issues I removed the Tamiya blades. David may have heard my colorful metaphors before and after his name. Comparison of the HS elliptical and paddle blades. Let the fun begin. Mission accomplished. Will used the paddle blades for my F6F build. Thank you for the coaching David Hansen, really much appreciated. The UltraCast prop hub and boss is a gem. Alclad 116 Matte Aluminum. The Boss got Alclad 105 Polished Aluminum. Panel line wash applied. Shoggz, Alex, TAG and 4 others
Rick K
MRP 98 Lt Gull Grey/FS36440 is marbled then blended as well as undercarriage doors and dive brakes. Tail wheel and Roy's wheels get some panel line wash. Panel line wash reveals details especially on Roy's wheels. Fuel hatch gets it's F4u obligatory white tape treatment with some MRP 99 Navy White. After full cure I cut some masks to represent the tape. MRP77 NATO Black applied to the wingwalk areas. Will set masks after paint cure. Rick K
Masking and paint thrills. Upper camo is MRP365 Ocean Grey and MRP138 Olive Drab. Engine cowling carefully secured to fuselage with tape. Ocean Ocean Grey applied via marbeling technique the blended then same process for the Olive Drab. Masks removed undersides, wingwalk and fuel hatch. I'm mixed on the fuel hatch "tape". Yup, the engraved lines and detail show through the "white simulation of the tape. I'm formulating a method. Nice thick white decals? Stay tuned. Some minor touch ups needed. Edited March 10 by Rick K LSP_Ray, Shoggz, chukw and 10 others

Rick K
Adventures with decals. Originally, I masked n painted simulating tape on the fuel hatch. Thing is the details panel line rivets all showed through the "white paint". I decided to cut white decals to cover the detail and give more of a "tape" simulation. I happy with the results as all seams have disappeared. It's not perfect by design. Some reference pics shows very uneven application of the white tape covering the seams of the fuel hatch. Wait until I get to the gun port covers. Out2gtcha, LSP_Kevin, denders and 3 others
Rick K
More decals.... Decal softener applied. The wrinkling of the decals says the solution is working. Walk away and come back later. Setting solution cured. No silvering, hooray! Engine dry pitted TAG, Out2gtcha, denders and 10 others
